We recently stayed at Mangapapa and loved it. Our well appointed suite had lovely period furniture and great views. The grounds include huge trees, nice gardens, well manicured lawns and a large pool. An added bonus is the restaurant which serves excellent cuisine overlooking the beautiful property. You cannot miss with this hotel.

We loved our two night stay at Mangapapa. We had a beautiful room overlooking the grounds with a lovely comfy bed. We had an excellent meat/cheese board with wine pairing downstairs and enjoyed chatting with the friendly staff. Breakfast in the mornings was a treat. The food was excellent and the coffee, divine! The staff helped provide recommendations for all...

We were there in February 2016 with my parents and daughter to get away from Auckland.... and what a perfect place to stay to relax and be looked after. The staff, property, food, rooms, well everything was fantastic. Will definitely be visiting again.

We stayed in Mangapapa for one full day and overnight. It was not planned but we were caught by strong winds and did not want to stay in our camper van. The hotel Manager was very helpful and let us check in early. We had a very relaxing day in a very comfortable environment. Our room was exquisitely finished as...

Our 2 nights at the Mangapapa were nothing short of perfect!! The room was amazing, the 5 course set menu with matching local wine was stunning, and the staff could not do enough for us.... so much so, that the manager David personally drove us to a wedding we were in town for. Looking forward to staying there again. Thanks...

Stayed two nights at this hotel, ate breakfast, high tea and one dinner there. All was excellent. Also had a massage, which was fantastic. Only disappointment (and it wasn't a huge one) was that the pool is a bit old and weathered. Nothing fancy, fine for a quick dip. A very very nice property with beautiful grounds and very attentive...

My family and I booked in to Mangapapa Lodge, Havelock North, for a High Tea to celebrate our fathers 90th birthday. That was 2 weeks ago, and we are still talking about it. Top marks❗️Superb presentation, the staff presented Dad with a special plate of sweet treats. We will tell everyone what a fantastic time we shared. The food was...

Today my friend and I visited Mangapapa Hotel,on the outskirts of Hastings as a birthday treat for me. It is stunningly beautiful with very attentive friendly staff. We were greeted outside the Restaurant and ushered to our seats. Service was prompt and we enjoyed the complimentary wine beforehand. The High Tea was delicious (compliments to the Chef) so much so...

Beautiful grounds, friendly and warm service, lovely bedrooms. I looked forward to getting back to the hotel each day so that I could sink into that sumptuous bed! Nice modern bathrooms, Netflix in all the rooms, good breakfasts. Would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to friends. My only constructive criticism would be a bigger gym and an...

Mangapapa is like one of the best UK country house hotels in the middle of North Island. No expense has been spared by the hotel's wealthy Japanese owner and the rooms are beautiful and comfortable. The highlight for us was dinner which is a set menu - not usually my preference - but on this occasion every course was delicious,...
