We stayed here for two nights while visiting the Hawkes Bay region. Beautiful main building and gardens. The service was excellent and the meals could not be faulted. Would love to have stayed another night and gone bike riding. Would thoroughly recommend!!

Dear Downundertourist It was a pleasure looking after you and you also identified a key thing , there is so much to do in the Hawkes Bay and 2 days isn't just quiet enough time. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future for a longer stay. Kind regards David & The Team

We had an amazing high tea at Mangapapa; I couldn't recommend it highly enough and would go back anytime. The food and service were faultless, and they dealt incredibly well with dietary requirements (which we had mentioned at the time of booking). A++.

I came here on event and thoroughly enjoyed it. The function was well set up. The patio in the sun is so nice with canapés and champagne. The ambience is terrific. I definitely can see why this is a terrific wedding venue.

My wife and I stayed 2 nights at Mangapapa last week and could not rate the hotel any higher on all fronts. Wonderful grounds to wander, fantastic spacious room, immaculate establishment throughout and a great bar and restaurant. All for a fraction of the "lotto" prices some luxury lodges charge in NZ. Thanks to David and Olaf and a great...

We stayed in a cottage suite and had parking out front. The suite was spacious and beautifully decorated. Free Wifi and Netflix. We had a fireplace and the bed was extremely comfortable the bathroom very nice. The food was fabulous and staff excellent Definitely worth visiting. This was the last night we spent in New Zealand and it ended perfectly.

I booked my 4 night stay at Mangapapa through my Citi concierge on their recommendation. My stay far exceeded my expectations. David met my cab on arrival, showed me the layout of the hotel and to my room. He asked if I had dinner plans, and if not, what would I like for dinner? This was just the beginning of...

Historic, beautiful and charming property that is a short drive to all of the great wineries in the Hawkes Bay region. Dave, Emily, and the team at The Mangapapa were fantastic and went above and beyond to insure that our family (including a 1 year old) had a great stay.
