This rural, 16th Century pub is full of character. Our room was very comfortable with a great shower, and dog friendly too. The food was superb, not too expensive, not too fussy. Some nice real ales and real ciders on. Great walking on the doorstep....More

This delightful place seems to have had some poor reviews recently, which surprises me. Maybe they had a bad patch over the summer. I've been coming here for several years and my experience has always been excellent.

Stopped off here for a Sunday roast, what a mistake,£12.50 which is reasonable, except it was without doubt the worst roast I've ever had , microwaved beef watery tasteless gravy undercooked veg, stale coffee on top at £2.50 a cup.
