A hotel night where all goes smoothly, the welcome personal but effusive, the room bright, functional and comfortable. And the real bonus of excellent dining right on the premises. This isn't a big hotel, but it gets a genuinely attractive restaurant menu with sophistication, startlingly good flavours and no gimmicks.

The hotel was spotlessly clean and very well maintained, the staff are very well trained and are extremely helpful, our room (no.4) was adequate in size but not large, the bed was very comfortable and the ensuite bathroom was fine, the breakfast I could not fault as was the service, the dinners of which we had 3 were as good as you would...

We were very fortunate to have the downstairs room, not being able to manage stairs. The room was very comfortable and clean and the en-suite had a walk in shower, which again was very convenient for us. Dorothy the owner cooked a first class breakfast, to your own choice. The staff were all very friendly, and the waitress in Reeds restaurant...

We stayed here in August - our first grown up short break without children and were highly delighted. The staff are very friendly, Dorothy the owner goes out of her way to help and offer advice and besides all that cooks an excellent breakfast to order . Our room was spotless as was the en-suite and the bed was really...

Our room (no.5) was very comfortable and clean with a well appointed bathroom. The only downside for us was that the cooked breakfast is only served between 8:30 and 9:30 which was much too late for us as we had to be on our way by 8:00. However a simple breakfast was made up for us to have in our...

Thank you for your review - we're delighted that Room 5 fulfilled all your requirements. In our restaurant, we're fortunate that our Michelin trained Head Chef prepares and cooks all the food himself - baking 2 types of bread daily, and ordering from suppliers daily. The restaurant is small with just 20 covers which is open to both residents and...

We found the Hotel spotless an excellent breakfast. Very comfortable bed lovely en-suite. Friendly staff, especially the waitress in the Reeds Restaurant she was fautless. Plenty of room for parking. We chose the Hotel at the last minute & couldn't have been happier with our choice.

Very comfortable room and facilities. Ground floor was essential for my wife as no lift in hotel. Staff kind and helpful. Sorry we were out so much we were unable to sample your chef's cuisine on the Friday and Saturday evenings. Had to leave on Monday to attend medical appointments. Excellent advice to take A385 to M5. Only 4 hours...

A very pleasant & conveniently situated little hotel. Our room was clean and well appointed. The staff were superb - a nice welcome & we found everyone to be very helpful at all times. We had dinner in the restaurant once - the quality was good but pricey. Would certainly consider staying here again.

Room was very clean and the shower good. Hotel was on a main road but room was reasonably quiet. Breakfast was good, we didn't sample the restaurant food as we felt it was overpriced as was the room rate.

Many thanks for leaving your review. What a great shame that you missed the scrumptious food cooked by our Michelin trained Head Chef. He personally prepares and cooks all the food in our kitchen - using daily deliveries from local suppliers, as well as baking his own bread and using the vegetables, herbs and fruits from our own kitchen garden....

Our second stay at Swallows Eaves and certainly not our last. A clean well furnished room in a friendly hotel. The breakfast is certainly more than sufficient to fuel a day exploring the surrounding beautiful countryside and villages. The evening meal in the restaurant is to be recommended. All in all a great hotel run by a great team.
