Dorothy gave us a very friendly welcome. We stayed in the superior king room. It was spotlessly clean and had a very comfortable bed. Delicious and very generous breakfast. The omelettes were perfect. Would definitely return.

Excellent really describes all aspects of this accommodation. It's very 'bright and airy'. Beds are really comfortable and the shower was really powerful. The food was superb and the location ideal. Dorothy and her Staff were really helpful and courteous

We thought highly of this hotel with its bright, airy, comfortable and clean bedroom and public rooms. The food was excellent and the staff pleasant and helpful. It is ideally situated for touring East Devon and West Dorset. If the restaurant was open on Sundays and Mondays it would rate SIX stars!

Despite having to rearrange dates we enjoyed excellent service and accomodation and a quite delicious celebration evening meal. However, despite considerable attention to detail and design inside, the welcoming effect was spoilt by the hanging baskets outside, remaining unattended in June and the garden surrounding the building in need of care and attention. A blue bottle fly had drowned itself...

My husband and I initially booked to stay somewhere else, however after arriving in Devon and after numerous issues we spontaneously booked in at Swallows Eaves. Upon arriving, Dorothy made us feel like family and welcomed us warmly. She gave us excellent advice on where to visit and what to do in the local vicinity. Our room was immaculate and...

We booked on the strength of previous reviews. Clean, warm and comfortable and the soft colour palette throughout was relaxing. Breakfast was very good; the staff friendly and efficient. After a long journey we appreciated having booked a table in the restaurant - the food was good. Dorothy, the proprietor, works very hard to ensure that everything runs smoothly and...

We booked all the rooms for family/friends to attend a nearby wedding. Everyone was very pleased with the hotel, the service, friendliness and overall standard - and it added to what was a wonderful weekend for us

We booked this hotel at rather short notice because of its very good on-line reviews. The staff were friendly and welcoming when we arrived about 4 hours after making our booking. Our room on the first floor was quiet and immaculately prepared, also we found the bed very comfortable. We only stayed for one night but we shall return for...

Booked this hotel as it had good reviews and looked inviting from the pictures on web site. We were not disappointed, the room was clean, well furnished and the king size bed extremely comfortable. Big bathroom with excellent shower and nice fluffy white towels. We also ate in Reeds the restaurant attached to the hotel and the food was first...

We had stayed at Swallows Eaves a number of years ago and it was excellent then - however, it is even better now after some refurbishments. Namely a new lounge/restaurant extension and the bedrooms/bathrooms have been upgraded. We booked half board and the food couldn't have been better. All in all a lovely relaxing getaway in a beautiful part of...
