We ate here as part of a large group for lunch. The Inn is along a country lane but easily accessible by road and has a large car park. It is also popular with walkers . The menu is varied and should suit most tastes and Light Bites are available as well as main meals. The service was fairly quick...

Traveled with a caravan to stay here on the CL site after the Folk East Festival. Brilliant folk session with nice welcoming people. Lovely quaint pub. Friendly and efficient bar staff and great food.

My daughter begged a visit here for the pizza oven alone! We would like to say the queue was long but orderly and people were patient. It's a small bar so I suggest arriving early and pay as you go because we didn't and we had to queue was much longer to pay than it was to order. The staff...

The Eels Foot was excellent. We were made to feel very welcome and they were happy to accept our dog, giving her her own bowl of water. Food was delicious. My husband had the Eels Foot special - welsh rarebit with smoked haddock and a poached egg and I had a lovely ham ploughmans. Portions were very generous. We returned...

Too many Suffolk pubs have been "Farrow and Balled" out of local character. Whilst there has been an upgrade, the Eels Foot retains it's character and thankfully is still a pub not just an eatery for the London set. And the management do listen...thanks for the hooks inside the doors of the ladies loo!

We were staying in the area and decided to pop in here one evening. Very busy with couples, groups and families, but we still found a table. We liked the fact that you cannot book, there is nothing more frustrating than wanting something quick to eat and standing looking at an empty table. There was a good atmosphere in the...

My husband plans a motor cycle memorial run around calling in at the Eel's Foot every year, a pub he has known forever. I had not been for many years. We decided to call in for lunch and now we are spoiled as next time we decide to have a day out with lunch, we will want to return. A...

We visited after a good walk. We were made to feel very welcome. The pub has a nice atmosphere. My son and I can thoroughly recommend the fish and chips, washed down, in my case, with a pint of Ghost Ship. My wife enjoyed the Eels Foot Special.

If you are visiting Minsmere Bird Reserve, or wandering the Heathlands, this is an ideal watering hole. It has a good varied menu, at reasonable prices, and the staff are friendly and helpful. As an ex-local, the Eels Foot used to be one of the Heritage Coasts Best Kept Secrets - but not any more - it's very popular now!
