Having booked two nights at this "pansion" near Split we were impressed: a hard- working family who had run the restaurant for almost 50 years and then more recently put 12 guestrooms on top of it. They provide very friendly service, immaculate rooms, well- functioning bathrooms, a filling breakfast and (if you wish) even a local dinner in their downstairs restaurant - all at excellent value for money.
Highly recommended!

We stayed in this cheap and really nice hotel one week. Service was excellent and owners were helpful and really nice. Location is really good. We liked it better to stay in Stobrec which isn't so full of tourists than Split. And getting to Split goes easily by bus or car. Room was nicely decorated and the view over the sea from third floor was awesome. Roomcleaning during our stay could have been better, but we didn't find it as a problem. We definitely would stay here again and we highly recomend this place!

After comparing prices for hotels in Split we found an economic alternative just 7 kilometers from Split. The village Stobrec is situated on an peninsula and offers a variety of restaurants and B&Bs. We heard about "Epetium" on booking pages and was not disappointed when we got there. Room for 400 kn a night with a nice view of the promenade at Stobrec and also of the mountains and ocean. Very helpful staff who cooks up a good breakfast and if you want a local dalmatian cousine in the restaurant which is in the basement of the hotel. 2 minutes distance to the ocean, and not much tourists. 2 minutes distance to bus to Split. The bus takes about 20 minutes. A more comfortable alternative is to take a taxi to Split, costs about 100 kn.

This location promises much but just doesn't deliver.

There is a kitchen, but no cooking utensils.
There is a microwave, but you either put it on the floor to pug it in, or unplug something else.
The sink doesn't have a plug.
The TV isn't a smart TV
The shower is broken and has nothing to hold it above your head

The reception is unmanned. If you stand there the CCTV is seen and a man appears. He is very helpful. However when we discovered we had no plug, he wasn't there, he didn't appear and when we called the displayed number, no one answered.

It is quite frustrating to stay somewhere, where feeding yourself is an issued and bathing is a problem.

It seems that all there attention is on the restaurant and their cocktail bar.

We will not stay here again.

After reading the reviews and looking at the pictures, I booked this hotel for a 2 night stay at the end of our month long trip to Europe. It looked like the perfect spot just outside Split, on the water and inexpensive. It turned out to be a disaster. I called from Split and said we'd be arriving about 8:00 after dinner. The owner gave me no indication that anything was amiss. With the help of a GPS we found the place but it's on a narrow little street. When we arrived the owner told us they were undergoing renovations and something was wrong with the electricity so we couldn't stay there but she'd arranged a room at her cousin's house. The alternative room was a spartan bedroom with no view, nothing nice and water all over the bathroom floor because the toilet tank had a leak. We first thought it was the sink but there was too much water. We beat a hasty retreat the next morning and left. She never asked why were leaving early and probably didn't care because they were very busy getting ready for a huge local party. When I asked her the night before about breakfast, which was an extra cost, she brushed me off and suggested we eat downtown. We never even saw a room or anything other than the lobby so I can't even comment on that. I had booked this room a month in advance so you'd think she could have made some effort to tell us that we couldn't stay at the hotel. We ended up staying the next night at a great place in Trogir which is near the airport and lovely, so we snatched victory from the jaws of defeat.

I spent 2 nights in Stobrec at the Epetium guesthouse in August 2014. I must say I was extremely impressed with the room! Very new furnishings, flooring, the whole place looked to be done in the last 3-4 years. Big room, great aircon, tv, large bed, huge bathroom with a good shower.

Amazing location in Stobrec and only 7km from Split. Rooms are located just above the Epetium restaurant which makes great food, and great service. Staff as the pansion also very helpful, airport transfer available too.

I would definitely stay here again.

Really loved the place family run hotel, very nice service, free parking, close to split, loved staying and having dinners in Stobrec, lovely town for relaxed vacation, it wasn't overcrowded in the 11 of Jun. First of all the room was very spacious with nice sea view and balcony to sit down and relax in the evenings. Rooms were very clean and had everything what you need. We had breakfast included, it is good breakfast enough to start the day, it is not a buffet breakfast more on personal level, where you get offered and it is served to you. Also if you ask for some tips on sightseeing the staff is very helpful. We found this place to be our dream vacation to want us comeback to Croatia and especially Stobrec again. I am happy we picked this hotel for our honeymoon as well as the place it couldn't have been a better experience. To add it is not only hotel it is the surroundings and friendly people in the town, we felt really welcomed. I strongly recommend you stay here

Having visited Croatia (Split in particular) number of times decided to try and stay somewhere little less busy ... Stobrec seemed like a good idea. Whilst searching for the property Epetium seemed to strike a chord and I can say from the time we made the booking to the time we reluctantly handed back the keys the experience was nothing short of amazing. everything was efficient, nothing was left to chance and even additional requests (iron/laundry etc) were handled without fuss. Although I spoke Croatian the fact that my partner did not meant that the communications were both in Croatian and English. Thank you Marin and Lucy for ensuring our stay was first class.

Maybe it's me, I didn't understand and didn't ask, When I arrived there was no one in the reception waiting for long minutes and after I went downstairs to the restaurant someone came to hand me the room. The room where in the second floor, I try to go up with elevator but didn't I could not turn it on, I carried my suitcase up the stairs both at the entrance and at the exit.
the room was comfortable and spacious but untreated, the shower head clipped broken.
Even though the water was constantly heating, the hot water was not always enough for one person's shower.
No debris was cleared and no one was allowed to clean the room for a week. The hotel is far from the city, and I had a car. The hotel is close to a beach that is more suitable for families, the restaurant is excellent in my opinion the hotel less.

We stayed in room number 9 for a week, and really enjoyed our stay. The view from the balcony was just amazing!
The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was nice and large.
One thing though: It says on Tripadvisor that «breakfast is included». This is wrong -there is no breakfast.
