This hotel is a great base from which to explore the western end of Kangaroo Island. It's near Chase Flinders National Park, Kelly Hill Caves, Hanson Bay Wildlife Sanctuary and Vivonne Bay. Although the rooms are quite spartan, we did enjoy our stay here. It is very quiet and you feel immersed in nature. The Eco Lodge itself is best...

Ideally located at the opposite end of the island from the Sealink Ferry terminal, adjacent to the Flinders National Park, this Lodge is remote and gives one a good sense of being surrounded by nature. Considering this, the accomodation itself is very comfortable, spacious rooms with aircon, mini bar, safe, tv and porch. The reception area is a bit basic...

The retreat puts you within thewildlife and within the wilderness. Be prepared to travel the island to get there. I like that, because if you plan it right, you get to see the island and it's size. Kangaroo Island is certainly not a small quant little island. It is very large and beautiful and I recommend travelling there to anyone....

The property is tranquil and very close to Flinders Chase NP. It's a 1 1/2 to 2 hour drive from the other end of the island so was great to have a place to stay near the park after spending the day exploring. There is a large open area where wallabys come in at night. We did not see any...

We enjoyed this great location so close to Flinders Chase National Park. We stayed in a courtyard suite and accommodations were decent. Wished we had read the info in the room about taking a four minute shower. I don't typically take long showers but part way through rinsing my hair I was left with ice cold water and finally gave...

We visited KI to see wildlife. KIWR is on the doorstep to the Flinders Chase National Park. We found the accommodation, food and service to be of consistently high quality without the unnecessary and expensive frills.

This place is a good option in the west of the island. A bit pricey but remote so expected. Restaurant quite good, staff friendly and helpful. Restaurant has children's menu (not mentioned on website).

Yes, it needs updating but room was spacious and spotless. There is almost no accommodation in the incredible far west of KI and so KIWR was only option and was perfectly fine. The staff are lovely, food is priecy like everything on KI but fresh and tasty. The location is everything - wallabies and possums all around, and Flinders CHase...

Had the chance to have a last minute weekend escape to KI in November & found this last minute. Got an eco lodge room; which had everything I required; just looked a bit tired. I wasn't in there much; but hopefully it's in the budget for the place sometime soon. So lovely to wander around in the evening amongst wallabies...

This hotel is conveniently located just outside the nearby national park so it's a great base for exploring the local hikes and animal life, plus the Remarkable Rocks and Admiral Arch. There were wallabies in the grounds near the restaurant during the evening and we were able to get within a few metres so they were not timid. The restaurant...
