My son and young family flew to Panama from Brisbane for a month's visit. To provide both a place to recoup from their long journey and to serve as an introduction to Panama, I booked three adjoining cottages at Rancho Caldera for a week. It was one of the best decisions of my lifetime! Perfection in every aspect. My daughter...

Last year I had the serendipitous pleasure of encountering Rancho de Caldera in the beautiful Boquete region of Panama. At the time, I was traveling with a friend from southern Peru to Mexico's Yucatan via bus and sail boat. We both had a mutual friend who knew of Rancho de Caldera and incandescently praised the resorts serenity. Her praises were...

unfortunately we did not hear about this place before as we only searched for "boquete", so we only came to Rancho Caldera for a romantic dinner, and it was PERFECT! Basically we had the chef all to ourselves who made a special menu for us. Location is GREAT & view is GREAT.

My husband and I spent five nights here last September and thoroughly enjoyed every moment. The rooms are spacious and colorful with huge glass sliders which open onto a large lanai. We would spend some afternoons just sitting outside watching the rain move in, followed by the emerging sun. I brought my yoga mat and loved practicing each morning on...

Every detail is considered. The rooms were absolutely incredible. We stayed with a group of 10 and had a variety of rooms. The rooms with the kitchens are the best and they can connect to other rooms for family/friends so you can all share the luxurious space in the rooms with kitchens. Every thing in the rooms are perfect. We...

My husband and I stayed over night at this lovely resort high in the mountains and secluded, yet merely minutes from Boquete. Dinner was fantastic prepared by Chef Craig, and the staff very accommodating and friendly. The fruit smoothies were delicious and not the norm that you find at restaurants. A wonderful breakfast came with the room. In the room...

Our family traveled from Portland, Oregon to Panama’s best kept secret – Rancho de Caldera. We stayed a full week at the resort in September to attend a tropical wedding. The resort also served as a venue for the ceremony and reception, which were beautiful! Several guests commented on how lovely it was to have the wedding there and how...
