A short stay on Islay was like staying with family, very relaxed. Very welcoming hosts, who're great characters and serve a great breakfast. We had a room at the front, overlooking the bay towards Bowmore and had otters swimming past the shoreline on the first evening. What a great way to start our stay.

Stayed at the cottage at the Anchorage. Lovely cosy accommodation and well kitted out. Downside was the road outside. Traffic was constant all day and also you had to park in a layby across. No privacy.

We had a wonderful stay here. This is probably one of the best home stays in Islay. Beautiful rooms, immaculately kept and the view from the windows are spectacular...looking out onto the bay. Anne and John are great hosts...we could walk in whenever (the main door is never kept locked as Islay is very very safe)..they were so considerate we...

My wife and I were lucky enough to be the first to try the new self contained lodge at the rear of the b&b. It is brilliant ! It has a small but brilliantly equipped kitchen for those who wish to cater for themselves and a spacious and comfortable lounge. The sofa then converts to a king size bed for...

Superb location, beautiful house, excellent hosts, fine Scottish breakfast and wonderful sitting room and library - even had a guitar for my friend. 5 stars for everything. Stayed two nights on a cycling trip; arrived cold, wet and dishevelled to a warm welcome. Hosts dried out our wet things and did everything they could to make our stay comfortable and...

Enjoyed our stay here. It was mid-November so John showed us how to use the electric heater. Cooked us a lovely breakfast in the morning. A good selection of movies in the lounge. All over homely and welcoming feel. If I'm ever on Islay again I will be staying here.

We had a wonderful 2 night stay here. Our room looked right over the bay which was delightful. The shared bathroom was large and clean, however we were the only guests which meant it was our own. John cooked us a lovely big breakfast each morning and gave us lots of tips for the Island. Wifi was great too. Our...

The location was super pretty and the hosts (Anne and John) were very nice. It was a shared bathroom but I never had to wait. The rooms were quite big as well. Breakfast included different options as well (hot and cold).

Stayed a night with a great sea view, across the bay from Bowmore. Great location if you want to walk to distillery which is very close. Shared bathrooms though no issues with sharing. Very comfortable room with very good breakfast. Host is magnificent (John).
