Ammos is one of these rare hotels that are simultaenously cool & chic and childfriendly. Its layout is typical for a Greek beach hotel, yet embellised with very interesting design elements both in the exterior and interior. All furniture and fittings are from high quality materials - there is nothing plastic.. The hotel has a blue flag beach and the...

We had a great experience at this hotel. The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful in a country where we found that not everyone is. The rooms were spotless, new and comfortable. Fluffy towels and nice toiletries added to the experience. There was a fridge and sink which was helpful for snacks and drinks. The hotel has a...

Location Very good situation right on a sandy beach with shops nearby, also a supermarket, bowling and crazy golf. Sea was very clear when calm but on some days got quite choppy. 25 minute taxi ride from Chania airport (€30) 2 hour taxi ride from Heraklion (€120) 25 minute local bus to centre of Chania (tickets €0.90 from hotel reception)...

Dear guest, thank you for taking the time to write a review. I also gives me a good opportunity to address some of the above mentioned points. 1) Food quality and variety at ammos restaurant I am the one who composed our new menu, taught the cooks (local women) how it should be prepared and served. I am also the...

We had been searching for the perfect small beach hotel for months when we came over Ammos! And what a lucky shot! Ammos had it all for a quiet, relaxing holiday dedicated our family of four. Clean, delicate rooms, beautiful gardens, a wonderful pool and a great beach, a lovely restaurant with good cretan food, lush environment with design furniture,...

I agree with what most of the other reviewrs wrote. Ammos is a simple yet stylish hotel situated some 4-5 km from the city of Chania. Its added value, compared to most other Chania hotels, is the beach. That is, if you are planning a beach holiday. Chania itself, is a nice, small city were there is no shortage of...

The hotel food is great but give Sebastions a try! Slightly more expensive than most restaurants but the food is to die for. We had the chicken with pineapple sauce followed by pannacotta with butterscotch sauce. Yummy. The Ammos hotel staff will be only too pleased to give directions.

Firstly, I must say that I would stay here again - the only sad thing is that, like many other Cretan hotels and apartments, it is becoming unaffordable. Greed and the Euro are the main factors. As regards to the hotel, it is in a superb location with a pool and it's own section of beach. The staff are friendly...

We stayed at Ammos for a relaxed beach holiday with some culture and have to say it was one of the best holidays we've ever had. The hotel has been decorated in a very simple by stylish way and the sea view suite was lovely but the deluxe one we moved to half way through was bliss. Having stayed in...

For several years now we have returned like migratory birds to Crete and always to Chania and the Ammos. The hotel never fails to disappoint as a bit of style on a great beach outside a beautiful city. The Ammos has everything going for it...a great central location on a family friendly, clean and swimmer's beach; a 10 euro cab...

We stayed in Ammos hotel for 6 night and we had an absolutely wonderful time with my partner. STYLE: Ammos is a small boutique hotel set right on beach of Agioi Apostoloi with plenty of rooms' balcony directly facing the ocean. We stayed in one of the deluxe rooms and at night we left the balcony door open and fell...
