This place is old and beautiful, and its worth to sit in the reception and just look around. The rooms are from another era, however the bathrooms are modern and comfortable. The corridors are cool and chilly, the rooms however are nice and warm during the winter. The breakfast area is cosy and good, and so is the cappuccino, toast...

The hotel is in a very old building, family-run, with peculiar furniture. It is a fortune that there still are people dedicating their time to keep such historical heritage. It must have its costs. Very quiet, spaciuos comfortable cosy rooms. Our was on three levels. The location is nice too, with a beautiful view reaching from the Varese lake to...

This hotel/B&B feels like staying at your grandmothers - both good and bad. The room we had was sizable with a patio. The furniture was on the worn side but might classify as antiques to some of you. The room was clean but not spotless. The hotel has a restaurant that was expensive and we did not try it as...

This medieval hotel will bring you back in time. It is a little quirky, but the experience is worth it. The owners and woman at the front desk were friendly and answered all our requests. The beds were comfortable. We even received an excellent private dinner, even though the restaurant was closed. Breakfast was simple, but I wasn't expecting anything...

It's a good place to sleep, nice rooms with old style. Near a hotel it is a beautiful view on a lake and mountains. But for a meal you need to go out side - for a breakfast you can get only a cafe and old bread....

We booked the larger suite. Old building expertly restored. Charming Middle Ages ambiance. The front desk were nice and friendly. I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 only because breakfast was deeply disappointing. So you better go for breakfast outside.

If you're looking for an authentic Italian experience with all its quirkiness then look no further. We stayed for 7 nights and by the end felt like one of the family. A charming hotel matched by its charming owners who can't do enough for you. The building is stunning and immerses you in Italian history, the dining room in the...

We did have trouble at first trying to find the hotel even with a satnav. Lovely hotel tucked away in the small village. Family run hotel with mother who speaks no English, son who does and a couple of waitresses one who doubles as cook. Slightly "quirky" as some things are forgotton such as butter dish with no butter and...

An impressive hotel in the middle of this small town. It is a medieval style and different to all the other hotels. We were welcomed by a small, cute dog wagging his tale. It is run by a family so feels extremely intimate. This is a 4 star hotel, but don't expect the same experience that you would get at...
