We recently spent two nights at the Flycatcher Inn during our trip through Yucatan. The hotel is located right in between the ruins of Uxmal and Kabah, and is a great base to explore the area. What makes the hotel unique however is the charm of the building and the hospitality of the hosts. The one small downside is the...

"Four of our larger rooms (The Flycatcher Suite, Chel House cottage, and both rooms in La Casita Guest House) have both shelf space and hanging space for longer stays. Two rooms have limited shelf space (Pe'epen and Hu'u). Only Yuya room has no shelf space for clothing and is generally for very short stays. Kristine"

This is a beautiful, clean, nicely and tastefully furnished B$B type hotel just outside of Uxmal. The owners are really nice and on top of things. Our rooms were very comfortable, air conditioned (a necessity in the Yucatan) and uniquely situated in a peaceful community. The breakfast was excellent. When we arrived, the electricity had gone off because of the...

A perfect base while exploring the Puuc Route. We stayed at the Flycatcher Inn for 1 night while on the Puuc Route. It was unexpectedly beautiful and relaxing, exactly what we needed after climbing ruins and driving all day. Rosa was very helpful, as Kristin was not at the Flycatcher during our stay. I only wish we had a bit...

If you're ever interested in the Ruta Puuc Mayan sites, this little charmer is the perfect place. The rooms were clean, spacious, well decorated. A hammock is provided for the true siesta. The staff is friendly, the breakfast was perfect and the price is, well, ridiculous for the accommodations. I cannot recommend this place enough, although it is quite out...

I can't imagine a more comfortable and relaxing place to stay anywhere in this part of the Yucatan. Our family stayed for 2 nights in April while visiting Uxmal and some of the other sites nearby, and we couldn't have had a better stay. The entire property, on the edge of the village of Santa Elena, is walled and gated...

We stayed for one night en route to Uxmal. The grounds are lovely, the room was beautiful, and the service was charming. We ate dinner across the road at the Chac Mool Motel. Good dinner. Unusual experience.

The Flycatcher Inn is a lovely off the beaten path B&B. Friendly, beautiful and located beside a real Mexican village with no tourist traps. A great place to stay while visiting Uxmal which was our favourite Mayan site of the 8 that we visited. Rosa is a delightful manager. Christine a very helpful host. We regretted that we only had...

We spent 3 nights here as our base. We had a comfortable, roomy and clean cottage surrounded by trees. We relished waking up to the sounds of birds. Delicious breakfasts were served on the veranda. It was easy to catch a bus to the Uxmal ruins which are great to see. Santiago took us to 4 sites on the Ruta...

We were lucky to find a room here for 2 nights at very short notice..........a true serendipity. Beautiful quiet surroundings, charming and helpful hosts, lovely gardens, excellent breakfast, and even a chance to share a meal arranged for some guests who were leaving. Perfect for visiting Uxmal and we wished we had longer to stay here. Highly recommended and thanks...

We stayed at the little house at the back of the property, which is very, very private, quiet, and where we had our own kitchen and living room area. This proved to be helpful because dinner is not served here every night and local options in the little town are not many. The proximity to Uxmal and the other ruins...
