This place is beautiful and very clean. Les is a great chef. Blanca is by far one of the most caring person that I have ever met. They are chill and that's what makes this place a treasure. You want peace, beautiful beaches and tranquility, this is it! My kids had a blast, also if you can go during whale...

Another great stay with Blanca, Les and Rex the Wonder Dog. This is a wonderful B&B in the middle of the Baja peninsula. But you have to WANT to go here. It is 60 miles of paved road to Abrejos, then another 10 miles of dirt road to La Bocana. But it is well worth the trip, especially for fishermen!

We stumbled on this place totally by accident. We didn't see much of interest in Abrejos, the town 10 miles to the south, and so headed north. La Bocana is the first village to the north. There is not much going on in La Bocana, a fishing village of about 600 persons. This B&B offers an exceptionally clean room and...

Thanks for your kind words and we agree - there is nothing to do here but relax and enjoy the views, the ocean and the fishing.

We showed up at one of our old Baja haunts and found out there was a wedding and no rooms to be had. I remembered reading about the La Bocana B&B, we told them about our group and our four large dogs and after the appropriate questions about our dogs behavior they told us to come on down. We were...

I cannot agree enough with everyone's positive reviews. The place was fantastic, Les and Blanca were more than welcoming, and the house location was more than one could hope for. I do want to point out a few things to be aware of when you arrive though. 1. There are a few rooms not accessible to the main house that...

Thanks for the review. We are indeed chatters. We truly enjoy meeting new folks so that our guests usually become friends! We rarely even lock the house - no crime so no locks. Only on El Nino years does La Bocana get hot - otherwise all night are really cold, even when the days are hot. Thanks again for the...

If you travel Baja by car, take the dirt road to the little fishing village of La Bocana and stay with Les and Blanca at the Baja Bocana B&B (or Hotel). They are the best of hosts and take care of your needs, provide you with numerous options, or leave you alone to soak up the sun and serentity of...

We stayed there one night, it was fabulous, the view was fantastic, the room was clean, with great shower, and the bed was so comfortable. We also went fishing from shore and caught halibut that we brought to their favorite restaurant, and were served with a fantastic meal.

Can't rate this high enough. It's Baja, it's off the main track, laid back, great if you fish, we did not fish and still loved every moment. We were jealous, watching the fisherman pack away ice chests of their catches.Beautiful empty beaches. Classic Baja Village life. Great place for families, couples getting away, and friends to share together.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
La Bocana is famous for its pristine beaches, bareback horseback riding, fishing (yellowtail, dorado, yellowfin tuna, wahoo, marlin and others) and its seafood. Joaquin's Cactus Restaurant is known for its seafood specialties (fish, lobster when in season, shrimp) and his prices cannot be beat.
