We booked a night in to this B&B and duly paid a deposit, which was not a problem, then we received an e-mail confirming our reservation along with a notice that we must arrive at specific times or face a $30.00 penalty. We are reasonable travelers and appreciate that we should arrive late afternoon until early evening, so we had a somewhat upsetting felling that if we were ten minutes late, we would be punished, we do not need this on our vacation. We were driving a fair distance between B&Bs, so it left us with a bad taste before we even arrived. Okay so we did manage to arrive at the noted time slot and we found our host Kimberly, she greeted us an showed us around. The B&B is a nice quiet location, not far off the main highway and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Kimberley showed us where the coffee and tea amenities were along with some delicious home made cookies and with a money pot if we wished to consume any more, do you see where i m going with is? we felt that after paying $170.00 per room, that this was a bit of a money grab. Yes there were trinkets displayed around the home, but that didn't bother us, it was just the fact that we felt like money machines. We tried to reason that maybe in the past, someone may have caused a problem by arriving late, but don't punish everyone else, you're in business get over it.

Okay that's all the negative comments, our breakfast was good, our roomes were clean and Kimberly was informative, would we go back? probably not, we stayed at eight other B&Bs on our two week trip and this was the most expensive and only average Iam sure taht there are other B&Bs in the area, which would be better, sorry Kimberly, we have to be honest.

The geograhy is great, the rooms nice but definitely not the same service in all. Our room did not have wifi service nor did we have access to the main house when others were away. The front door was kept locked and we had to enter the house through the deck patio doors. These were locked when Kimberly was away. Breakfasts were good, not sumptuous and there was no choice of time. Kimberly had a tendency to be defensive and argumentative when a problem was pointed out, such as no wifi which was an advertised feature. Overall, I have had more pleasant times at other B&B's. I would not return to this one unless the management changed.

Thanks for comments Gary - we have since installed 3 repeaters to the WIFI system so you can enjoy Internet all over our property and even in the hot tub. All the suites now have external entrances so you are free to come and go even when Kimberly is shopping for your breakfast at local markets. Try is again and you will see what others guests are complimenting on in their reviews. cheers David

Kimberly was a great host! She made us feel welcome from the minute we arrived. The rooms are all quaint and comfortable. They have definitely thought of everything! The property is beautiful and we even saw some wildlife during the visit. Breakfast was delicious and the company was lovely.

The home is shabby, the rooms crammed with trinkets and old dusty junk. The breakfast was horrible and even though the hostess was informed that my husband had a egg allergy she insisted on serving him some sort of egg dish. To pay $175.00 and have to go for breakfast on our way out was an insult. Stay away!!!

This person never stayed with us. They booked there accommodation on-line and did not show up for the accommodation booking. We charged there credit card as a no-show for the accommodation that they booked. Actually, I feel they just changed there mind at the last minute and decided not to come. I sure they thought we wound not charge them for the accommodation as we are just a small business and who would do such a thing. They are now trying to get the booking fees back, but as it was just a now show we are unable to refund them.

We recently stayed at this B&B. The decorating was very tired and lacked any appeal. The owner informed us that she charges an extra $30.00 if you come before her alloted 2 hour window, or after. The cost for the room and breakfast was $175.00, which was more than the Fairmont in Vancouver. The breakfast looked lovely but was overcooked and not to our taste. It was some egg mixture baked in a casserole with a half banana covered in yogourt.. For that kind of cost I expected much more. Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere!

We are sorry this person had a poor vacation. She seemed like a nice lady but turned out to be very unwilling to try new things. The other person traveling with her did enjoy the food and only had positive thing to say. Oh well you can't please everyone. I hope she has a better time traveling in her home land as I think she would do better to stay home.

This place was tacky. The room's decors were tacky. There was lingerie hanging in the bathroom. Seriously? The food was not gourmet. There were snacks in the room that were way expired. Kimberly was bossy to her husband. Went pay when leaving and debit machine was asking for tip. I don't think so.

I have to say that I agree with those travelers that have given this B & B a poor rating. We stayed for 3 nights at this place and will not ever come back. Kimberly was condescending and rude. The breakfasts were ok but not fantastic. The 'only' good thing we can say is that the bed was comfortable and that's it. You'll never see us again!!

If you like a retro homey feel, this place is for you. It is furnished in a 1970's style. It had a bit of an odd vibe. The honeymoon suite with the heart shaped tub didn't suit my style. However, it was clean and quiet. Breakfast was fair. The secluded forest area was lovely.
