Peter and Amanda are a young couple who have left, we suspect, high-flying London jobs to create something really special in this unique spot. Close to the motorway (not that you'd know) this is a relatively new venture with a lot of investment in a C19 manor house. It's totally informal and absolutely delightful with an amazing setting looking out...

I only had a one night stay but it was enough to know I want to come back! Peter and Amanda are great hosts - I was met at the front door with a welcoming smile and the warmth of the fire; always a good start. Peter promptly showed me my room which overlooked the front of the house (not...

We enjoyed a 2 night stay here. Pete and Amanda couldn't be more accommodating, the house is beautiful and the grounds around are stunning. Breakfast was amazing (cooked to order) and made even better by being able to watch the red squirrels and robins from the window. The room was clean and comfortable and looked out over the countryside. A...

I booked nearly all the rooms for my wife's 50th birthday party. The owners were charming and helpful, giving an excellent recommendation for a nearby gastropub (Black Swan, separately reviewed). We had tea and cake on arrival. The public rooms are spacious and there's an honesty bar in one. Our room was not large but perfectly adequate and the shower...

We stayed here with a large group of friends to celebrate a milestone birthday. The hosts were extremely professional and welcoming, the accommodation was clean and well thought out, and breakfast was one of the best that I've had in a long time. We were allowed to take our dog, and this made the whole visit feel more relaxed and...

Was here for 4 nights. The "country" atmosphere is nice, and Amanda/Peter do a very nice job. My single room was small, but adequate, and very comfy. I slept well, and was always well fed upon arising the next day.

Beautiful, relaxing and tranquil. All facilities available, great breakfast, freshly made. Perfect location to explore the Dales as well as the Lake district. If you like stargazing, this is the perfect place! Relax in the evening by the fireplace. Book a table in one of the restaurants in Ravenstonedale such as the Black swan. Alternatively, King's Head.
