I’ve stayed at this hotel for more than 30 years and it’s been getting worse as the years go by. On my last stay they gave me a room on the sixth floor. The bath room had one very small bar of soap and one small bottle of bad shampoo. Not to my surprise there wasn’t any hot water. I called the front desk and they said there would be hot water with in the hour, not so. My wife and I had to take a cold shower. The next morning I had to take another cold shower because there still was no hot water. Later I met the bag boy in the elevator and asked him about the hot water problem and he said that the hotel had not had hot water for at least three days! The next morning we lost electrical power for a couple of hours and guess what, the hotel generator was not working. Today the one elevator of the two that worked broke down and was not fix for the whole day. DO NOT STAY AT THE SEMBRADOR!!

This is the best place in the city of Gusave. The rooms are clean. There are no special bells and whistle‘s but the rooms are clean. The water does not flush down the sink very strongly but we still like the hotel.

Very often i stay at this hotel which is great. I get late check-out for free, room is ready whenever we get there. It has a big casino on ground floor, right next to reception (i was never in though).

This hotel seems to be in the middle of the city. Lots of business around for shopping and food within a 10 minutes walk. Security guard for parking lot and valets and those types of staff. Front desk may have been bilingual but I was practicing my weak espanol. Slow elevator but it took me to the 6th floor and above the city noise up there. Casino has slots for the zombies to play and had no smokers seen or drinking. Not like Vegas. Restaurant in hotel but I never tried it. Good bed bath. Carpet looking a little old. I would stay there again.

Other than they had NO handicapped accessible rooms, the location of just blocks from Family and Friends made my stay Great, which outweigh all the negatives. The staff was very courteous and the restaurant was Great.

We stayed two nights at the Sembrador after having booked it on-line. Having never stayed in Guasave before I was pleasently surprised to find a neat clean town with plenty of trees and clean, wide streets. The Sembrador Hotel is supposedly the best hotel in town but I found that although the staff is courteous and the rooms are clean, the condition of the building and the maintainence inside the hotel rooms themselves is "average" at best. The first room we were given had broken window shades and windows that hadn't been cleaned on the outside in months. The bed was billed at the desk as being queen size but it was not. We requested a different room and that was provided with no problem. The second room had some small maintenence issues as well but was acceptable, The Hotel itself is older (probably built in the late 70's) and is approaching a point where it will need major work soon. (Especially if maintenence is not improved upon) The most memorable part of our stay at the Sembrador was the excellent food that was served in the dinning room. The Chef that works there is a keeper! Over all, I would say that although the hotel is not exceptionally expensive, ($660 pesos) it is no great bargin either. However it was not uncomfortable and the noise was kept to a minimum. We did recieve a good nights rest for the money.
