As part of our road trip from Pretoria, through the Northern and Western Capes we spend the night at the lodge. The venue hosts a number of business functions and weddings. We were fortunate to have the lodge mainly to ourselves on the night. A little mixup with the bookings, which might have been my fault but they helped us... More

Despite a lack of communication when we booked this Lodge turned out to be a jewel in the Kalahari. Wonderful food, best staff and excellent service. Indian reindeer grazing on the lawn and begging scraps of food are awesome.

It was wonderful to experience the quiet luxury of the Kalahari Bush. Our Christmas dinner was delightful and special. This is the ideal place for a quiet get away with the green lawns and the wildlife. The tame Reindeer was a bonus! This will become one of our most visited places in Kuruman! I will definitely recommend to friends and business colleagues. Great setting. I would however try and change the look of the rear of the accommodation on the left when you approach reception. A little bit of an eye sore on arrival but once in the rooms or restaurant area all is great. Rooms are beautifully kitted out. Fantastic to have... More

The Oryx Trail Game Lodge did me proud as I had friends from Australia with me who was very impressed with this lodge. The fact that the management arranged a quick safari was a plus and the table settings, food and atmosphere superb.
