We stayed four nights in a double room with a bathroom. The room was a bit small and rough around the edges, but it was quiet and the owners and staff very friendly and helpful. We also did the coffee tour which was very interesting and the coffee was excellent.

Good hostel with a nice coffee tour. Owner of the hostel is Australian so language barrier if you don't speak Spanish. Definitely would recommend this place. Salento is a very nice and cosy town. Great restaurants also!

I felt very comfortable, you wake up with the sound of singing birds and the dogs make you feel like a child with their happiness, I came back and didn't find ipod, who was the owners kind of polar bear dog, but now they got a new fluffy new puppy who has an adorable face, I just love of this...

The Hostel is really easy to find. Like everywhere in Colombia, the people help you if you just seem to be lost... The stuff is nice and helps you with everything. The rooms are nice but doesn*t have more than the stuff you need, which is completely cool when you think about the price. The dorms are not big, so...

Very basic, minimalist and inexpensive, the rooms are clean but the house is not very cosy if it rains. The staff, especially the owner Tim, is extremely helpful and gives very good information. At the edge of the village, very quiet, 10 min walk to the center. No breakfast at the house, but good places in the neighborhood.

We arrived in Salento, and had to look for the place as we were not familiar with the directions of the streets. But it was actually easy as it is to the right when you enter Salento. The road from the end of the street to the hostel is not the greatest, because it is not asphalted but a rocky...

A lovely spot in Salento. The sounds at night were so soothing! Nice room with great shower! A few minutes stroll to main plaza where it was always buzzing. Fantastic kitchen and the staff were very friendly. Excellent coffee tour of Don Eduardo's farm!

This place really gave us a huge smile on our face. We came here without a reservation and Salento was fully booked. The owner, Tim, saved our night and with this our whole trip. Besides a room he gave us a warm welcome and the feeling no matter what he will take care of us. Yes, its true. The place...

The place is very good. The staff is very friendly, the room is pretty okey. You should try Tim's coffee tour and the bike tour. The bike tour is a little expensive but it is a full day activity with lot of wonders.

Nestled in the foothills of the Andes, halfway between the towns of Armenia and Pereira, Salento is in the heart of Colombian coffee country. Conveniently located some 6-8 hours by bus from Medellin, 7-9 hours from Bogota and 4-5 hours from Cali, Salento is the perfect stop off point to explore Colombia´s coffee country. And when you are in Salento, Plantation House (only 5 blocks from the main plaza) is the best location for you to stay. The original Plantation House (PH 1) is a 100 year old coffee plantation house that offers small dormitory and private accommodation with and without ensuite bathrooms, lounge and kitchen facilities. Plantation House Two (PH 2) is a renovated traditional style farmhouse set in 2 acres of land and is literally across the road from the original Plantation House. This also offers both small dormitory and private accommodation with and without ensuite bathrooms. Both Plantation Houses have gas fired hot water systems. Amongst the many services we offer our guests are WIFI, free internet, kitchen facilities, free coffee, book exchanges and book shop PLUS the best most current and accurate tourist information in Salento.
