A super, quirky little stop over in N France, dog friendly too. The restaurant was very good despite us confusing them by being vegetarian! The family room was small but worked well for the four of us.

The hotel is actually a very old mill & is built over a very fast flowing, but narrow river - which we could look into from the lounge area, which was quite large. The owner of the hotel was very friendly and helpful and happily explained the menu to us - despite our lack of French. Our evening meal was... More

We picked this hotel as a first stop option after the chunnel and will probably use it again since it is better value for money than most calais hotels and is also dog friendly. There are plenty of nearby walks and we like to get away from the more touristy areas. The location worked for us since it was just... More

A bit out of the way in an old mill this little Auberge is ideal for a tranquil break. Don't expect luxury, the rooms are fairly basic but clean, and beds are comfy. No TV, but the sound of the adjacent river is a nice background! We enjoyed an evening meal from a short but nice menu - all served... More

This place is very convenient for the Channel Tunnel if you need to break your journey in either direction. Deep in the countryside but still only about 30 minutes from the terminal it has real old fashioned quirky charm. The main building is an old water mill with everything in place except the water wheel. We had a room in... More

Even of the reception is a bit rickety, we could enjoy the week-end thanks to the beautiful nature around and the nice view from our small room. The place of B&B is an old watermill, some of the works can still be seen in the lobby. They offer dinner and breakfast, but nothing out of the ordinary. There is no... More

We booked this hotel for two nights and ended staying another night because we loved it so much, quirky in a good way we had a corner room over the weir with the sound of water - very soothing - I think the term shabby chic could be used to describe the hotel and it works very well indeed lashings... In a quirky building and miles from anywhere in surprisingly pretty countryside, this is a real find. Sometimes the attempts to emulate a slicker establishment fall a bit short, but the rooms are clean and comfortable and amazingly cheap. If it weren't for the fact that there is no nearby alternative, I might forgo breakfast, but I would definitely go... More

This hotel reminds me of the better hotels we booked as a young couple: basic but clean and providing everything you need for a relaxed weekend. In addition, this auberge welcomes you in a common room overlooking the water mill. The rooms are smallish but offer what you need. Conclusion: surely OK for 1 or 2 nigths. The restaurant of... Only stayed overnight, wish it had been longer.... Wonderful setting in the middle of beautiful countryside but not that far from civilisation ! Simply decorated but providing everything for the weary traveller in the way of refreshment and an apparently discerning selection of wines ! According to others in our party. We departed having consumed a substantial breakfast to embark... More
