We only stayed the one night but have stayed before a few years back. The current owners can speak some English & were very helpful with Internet Passwords etc. Breakfast is always fresh and very very nice. Rooms were big and incredibly clean. Loved it!

We were recommended this hotel for B&B by the Tourist Information Centre. We knew it was in Dossenheim which is well to the north of Heidelberg and that it was a 20 minute tram ride to the centre. The hotel is modern, and the room (Room 1) is very clean with plenty of space.
Unfortunately our German is EXTREMELY limited and the staff had a similar level of English. We would have welcomed some information at least on getting into Heidelberg as the ticket machines (obviously but sadly) only displayed in German. We bought tickets but have no idea if they were the right ones for our journey. Fortunately there was no inspection on either of our return trips.
What really spoiled our stay was the loud party that went on until 2.00 am. Apparently it was the owner's birthday but that was no consolation for a very disturbed night's sleep.
Breakfast and service in the bar was fine and if we had slept well, it would have been good value for money.

Thank Rod B

“Come prepared for the location of the hotel so you know how to get to Heidelberg. The hotel website is (understandably) written in German but what is surprising and frustrating is that the usual 'translate' option in my browser could not translate the embedded text. This reinforces our view that the hotel is not aimed at tourists but at German business travellers.”
