We stayed 2 nights, Sophat (who also runs the back packers) was helpful with scooter hire but you had to go find him at the Back packers. The rooms were big and comfortable and everything worked. Nothing spectacular but functional. Good view over the lake.

I had a twin share room which I shared with my driver Rin Ra. The room was very clean and comfortable. In the morning , my driver inquired about places of interest to see and he was given the directions. All in, I was very please with my stay.

We stayed here for 4 nights. The room was decent with comfortable beds, good fan, good shower. The owner is literally no where to be found. There is one man who works there who is at the front desk at only ransom times. He literally speaks no english. Very frustrating. There's a refrigerator but nothing in it. They advertise everywhere...

We stayed at the Colonial Lake Palace for 2 nights and we absolutely loved our stay there. Sophat is arguably one of the nicest men you'll ever meet and all of the staff are very pleasant and attentive. The room was well equipped with a comfy bed, en suite bathroom and flat screen tv. The entire hotel was immaculately clean...

Pros: 1. Good-sized clean room, comfy bed, toiletries, AC, TV with many English channels, reasonably-priced, and serviced on request. 2. Lovely puppies downstairs but they do bark early in the morning. Cons: 1. No service, help, or smiles from staff - the night watchman is nice though. 2. Bathroom ceiling had a half-metre hole in the ceiling (see photo), could...

We stayed for 3 nights here and though it was great value for the quality. $10 with fan or more with air con, but fan was fine for the time of year. Wifi was good and a lot of TV channels to choose from, except in one room on the top floor where the aerial was broken. Ten minutes walk...

I had a study tour with my team during late of August and decided to book rooms in the hotel. It's a good place to stay which is situated along the lake and provides a cool green view. The room is clean and comfort but there are few things to be improved. The receptionist should be more friendly and attentive...

We ended up at Colonial Lake after failing to find a place "downtown" because of the New Year celebrations. The room was nicely furnished, with clean white sheets and a good flatscreen TV with tons of channels. For $15, it was probably our nicest room in Cambodia. That said, there's a bit of a bug problem on the first floor...

The hotel is new and rooms are nice but cleanliness is really bad so the expression was automatically so much worse. You have to leave your shoes outside but the floors are really dirty and many bugs are on the corridors. Staff couldn't really speak english. Hotel itself and rooms look pretty good at the moment because it is almost...
