I loved my visit to La Lancha -- the staff were so friendly and hospitable, the hotel was beautiful, with every detail thought through by management. The location is remote, but it feels like a real getaway (and recommend the boat ride to get there from the airport). Easy access to nearby ruins. Food was delicious, rooms well appointed, and pool refreshing after a hot day exploring. You also get an amazing workout from the stairs :)

Our amiable and dedicated staff make things happen, every attention to details aims at creating unforgettable experiences for each and every one of our guests. You have it right, getting to our jungle hideaway is an adventure, whether you decide to take a car around the lake to get here after a one hour drive, or you can also choose to experience an epic arrival catching our boat from Flores Island and then once at our lake dock you hop onto our jungle elevator- our Funicular and take a five (5) minute ride up to main habitations. We are just an hour away from majestic Maya Ruins which is a must see if you are in the Flores Peten region- or why not be at charming La Lancha! Food and drinks here are authentic, and nothing is better than having an early breakfast with an aromatic and strong cup of Guatemalan coffee surrounded by our friendly spider monkeys.

La Lancha is a unique and amazing property, I would highly recommend it. The location on the lake is beautiful and peaceful, the accommodations were fantastic and the restaurant, pool and lake were all wonderful places to hang out. We loved the food, and the staff was extremely welcoming and helpful. The main reason most people were at La Lancha seemed to be Tikal, but it's worth staying longer and enjoying the resort. We did a day trip into Flores which I'd also recommend. The dock, paddle boards and canoes were perfect for getting out on the lake.

As you have said, we are situated right on the perfect spot- surrounded by emerald, green waters, a perfect lake for swimming, paddle boarding or fishing. Our accommodations are very comfortable, nicely decorated with authentic colorful textiles and handmade Furnitures. we have it all just a few minutes or an hour away- archeological sites, ancient island of Fores, wildlife animal rescue center, natural park for ziplining, etc. Our staff is very dedicated in creating happy and satisfied faces when it comes to serving- reason why we always meet our guests' expectations, our people is one great team working as one and aiming at creating memorable experience for our clients. Tikal archeological site is a must see, but there has been people who have skipped it and prefer nature tours Vs. Archeology and end up fascinated by the flora and fauna and adventure activities such as ziplining or sky waking.

Excellent service! The staff was extremely attentive and welcoming. The atmosphere was absolutely beautiful with stunning views, and the food was great. Noe and his team went above and beyond to make sure our trip was great and even set a table up for our anniversary, we are so appreciative! This place and our stay exceeded our expectations and we definitely recommend it to anyone visiting. We will be returning!!

Gorgeous location on a steep slope to the lake. Rooms are beautiful especially with those with a view of the lake. Restaurant has a good chef!! Be sure to take the boat from the airport for another adventure. Enjoyed the hotel more than the ruins of Tikal which are splendud.

I agree with you, our jungle hideaway has some great lake-view rooms, with breath taking scenery and surrounded by friendly spider monkeys and various bird species. Our food is the best in the region, 100% authentic, something not to be missed as we offer all meals a la carte. Getting to or from La Lancha to Flores Island and/or airport is just as easy as hopping onto our speed boat and within 35 minutes you have made it. We are situated just on the perfect spot, just about half an hour from the Flores airport by boat, and about one hour from the majestic Maya ruins of Tikal, which is also a must see once you are here. Hope to host you once more in the near future!

Really top class service, good food. Comfortable rooms “huts” come with a hammock and seating outside. So much to see and do (Tikal is 45 minutes away). Private lakeside jetty with complementary paddle boards and canoes can be reached by fenicula so no need to worry about the climb. Very secluded and great swimming. My daughter and I spent a day lakeside and we were the only ones there all day. Staff brought lunch down to us. Wonderful stay, it is not the cheapest around, but I would gladly pay again!

If you decide to do outside activities, we have lots to offer- from archeology to adventure, culture, etc. OR you can simply lay back and just get indulged in nature, tranquility and relaxation-we have an onsite maya sauna or can also coordinate a relaxation massage to ease of tensions and stress. Spending time at our lakeside is also inviting and magical- here you can go swimming, stand up Paddle boarding, canoeing, rope swinging, or lake tubing... our guests can keep entertained onsite also.

La Lancha is the perfect escape after a day of touring Tikal. Or just to relax and enjoy the jungle oasis. They have great sunset views over the lake, a nightly fire pit, gourmet meals, super friendly staff, complimentary cookies...there's so much to love about La Lancha. I had a great here and can't wait to go back.

What a delightful experience at La Lancha. We arrived late and Noe was really helpful via What's App to re arrange the transfer and help us to pre order dinner. The staff were there to greet us with fresh towels. The staff were all amazing, fabulous food, really pretty restaurant and gorgeous setting by the lake. They arranged trips for us on the lake to Flores and then to Tikal eoth great guides. Highly recommended

My fiancé and I stayed at La Lancha for 4 days and loved every moment. The staff was very accommodating, friendly, and willing to set up rides to and from the airport. If you arrive in daylight you can take their private boat from Flores straight to La Lancha. It is truly gorgeous scenery. However, the cost of transport was quite high. That didn't really deter us though as we knew this was a more upscale spot.

This place is magical! I cannot express how much we enjoyed our visit with Noe and her crew. I wouldn't call it a resort; it seemed much more intimate. The huts are secluded in the forest, two rooms to a hut. A 5 star hut!. the private porch is so inviting to rest in a hammock. I felt I was tucked away in my little oasis. We really enjoyed spending the day relaxing beside the lake. We paddle boarded, canoed, and swam in the warm water. The meals are incredible. The continental breakfast was more than adequate. Fresh fruit, bread, and eggs were perfect to start the day. And the evening meals were delicious. The crew really took time to get to know our preferences and offered assistance in every way. If you are looking for quiet inspiration, this is your place. You will not be disappointed. Noe and crew are fun, engaging, and welcoming. Thank you for an amazing vacation. We hope to see you again! My wife and I travelled to La Lancha by boat from Flores, a wonderful way to arrive at this lovely and unique hotel. From the moment we arrived the staff were wonderfully kind to us and special mention to Carlos and Edwin who looked after us so well. The hotel consists of a number of buildings spread around the jungle canopy with a central restaurant and reception area. There is also a lovely pool area. The views from high over the adjacent lake are stunning. Noe arranged 2 guided tours for us, one to the Mayan sites of Yaxha and Topoxte and the second to the truly amazing Mayan ruins at Tikal, which is about an hour’s drive from La Lancha on mostly good roads. Both tours were excellent. In summary, our four night stay at La Lancha was wonderful and I would recommend this special place as a great base to visit Tikal and the other historic Mayan sites in the area.…
