Since we last visited the Grange it has changed ownership. I didn't realise this until we arrived but am happy to say the warm welcome and standard of rooms remains excellent. Nothing was too much trouble and we were offered coffee and cake on arrival which is always a good start. The room was spotless and all the facilities remain...

Two days spent in the idyllic surroundings of The Grange Guest House and Thornton le Dale. Only wish it could have been more. Should have realised we were in for an impeccable weekend when a roaring log fire and homemade ginger cake awaited us on a bitterly cold January evening. Steve and Jacqui made for most welcoming hosts throughout, from...

Arrived late afternoon and was welcomed with a much appreciated tea and cakes by a lovely warm fire in the lounge. Steve and Jacqui were most welcoming hosts and made us feel much at home. The premises have been tastefully decorated without spoiling the character of the property. We booked the suite which was lovely and large with an en...

We have stayed at The Grange many times but was our first with Steve and Jacqui as hosts. The standard is still as high. A warm welcome when we arrived and offered afternoon tea. The room is as good as before with all excellent linen, towels and a beautiful touch with Christmas Chocs and card. Breakfast was very good as...

I spent 2 nights at the Grange. Steve and Julia are excellent hosts. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Very powerful shower. The full English Breakfast was cooked to perfection. The home made granola and fresh fruit salad so tasty. Small touches like Christmas card and chocolates are so nice. Also the dressing gowns. Will definitely recommend and would...

This was a return visit and every bit as satisfying as the first. I can only endorse an earlier review confirming that Steve and Jacqui, have maintained the exceptionally high standards set by the previous owners. We stayed in Room 5 which had a most comfortable super-king size bed and generous seating area. Quite frankly, the whole experience felt like...

We have stayed at the Grange previously when the previous owners were in charge. This was a place we could not fault. We understood that a new couple had taken over and made a booking accordingly. Steve and Jaqui have kept the Grange up to its absolute high standards and are the most charming and attentive couple. We stayed in...

We spent two nights here and received a warm welcome. Good car park at the rear and the property was entered through a very nice garden, laid to lawn with shrubs and a vine around it. There was a nice sitting room and the breakfast room has a glass covered well as a notable feature! Hosts were very friendly but...

We recently booked our parents into The Grange for 4 nights when they came to visit us, they had a wonderful stay and Mel and Tony really looked after them. The Grange is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean and room 5 was very spacious with a lovely sitting area and fab bathroom. My parents reported the breakfasts to be fantastic!!...

We have just returned from a lovely two night stay at this stunning house in Thornton Le Dale. The hosts, Tony & Melanie, were very welcoming, friendly and hospitable throughout. The location was ideal, being just a few minutes' walk into the centre of Thornton Le Dale and with easy access to the coast. The house has a lovely homely...
