Stayed in a double room for two nights over bank holiday weekend and really enjoyed it. Great location and very accommodating couple. Ron and Lindsey are lovely if not a little eccentric ( in a good way guys!) Breakfast is lovely and served very quick. Lovely thick bacon and quality sausages. Lots of fresh fruit and cereal. Nothing was a...

We stayed at this delightful guest house as a family on Maundy Thursday on our way to a cottage holiday. My wife and I had the room on the ground floor specifically for people with a dog, whilst our daughter, son -in-Law and grandchildren were given the lovely family room. Our "dog friendly" room was spotlessly clean, large and smelled...

Second visit here. Both times excellent place to stay. Room 9 on ground floor very convenient as we took our dog. Ron n Lindsay were perfect hosts, made to feel very welcome and breakfasts were just outstanding. Will definitely stay again and recommend it to everyone

Comfortable and well-run establishment. The owners were very friendly. Truly excellent full English breakfast - one can happily forego lunch after one of these! Very reasonably priced. The one downside is that the parking is a bit cramped if one has a big car.

The location was perfect next to a lovely stream ideal for nice walks, also Whiby is only a 20 mins drive away. Ron & Linsey you made us feel at...

We needed to book for two separate stays and because of the popularity of Thornton we booked at Bridgefoot where we had never stayed previously. This was a great find. The building was old but totally renovated and we were upgraded to Room One with a lovely view of the River and the Christmas Lights. There were all amenities that...

Decided to make a weekend out of a trip to the Santa special at Pickering. Such a warm welcome and quick which was definitely required with 2 small children in tow! We stayed in room 8, possibly the biggest family room I've ever stayed in! 2 full size singles, a king sized bed and a sofa and loads of room...

Just spent a nice weekend at the Bridgefoot House. The hosts Lynsey and Ron couldn't do enough for us. They certainly work as an excellent team with Lynsey doing the cooking.
