Bricolage, as its name suggest, is constructed using whatever available. The owner TJ, is a retired chef and has expressed all his love, his call, his dreams in this place. TJ has literally constructed the building including its access roads almost all by himself. He decorated the walls with passion of re-usable materials and love of nature. This place is an excellent hideout from busy city life. The food is what we came for. You won’t get the same food anywhere else. The food is cooked with highest standard, nothing less than what you can expect in 5-star hotel. One can feel the chef’s love and passion in his food.
Located in a secluded spot off the road in Karak, Pahang. The rooms are in a small clearing amongst many trees, making the area very cool and relaxing at night. We were treated with delicious dinners cooked by retired chef TJ, under a large DIY-grown roof of leaves; it is a unique experience that makes you feel close to nature. Requires an optional rough drive on a jungle trail, so it is suggested to park in town and ride TJ’s pickup truck in!
