We recently spent five nights at Kalandara and had an absolutely wonderful stay. Each room features a private pool with breathtaking, paradisiacal views that make you want to stay and gaze at the scenery all day. The staff at Kalandara are exceptional—friendly, professional, and incredibly helpful. They ensure everything is perfect throughout your stay. Special thanks to Zahra, Najwa, Wina, and the young BBQ chef for their outstanding service. Zahra was very kind to suggest the wonderful Nipah beach nearby. I strongly suggest to visit there and try some of their tasty fish dishes.
The breakfast was brilliant, offering a wide variety of delicious dishes. The cleanliness of the resort is impeccable, and the rooms are well-equipped with smart TVs and coffee machines, with pods replenished daily. Overall, we will definitely return, inshallah.

We had an absolutely incredible stay at Kalandara Resort after booking the honeymoon package for 3 nights.
The staff were incredibly kind and attentive and literally everyone made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. They also really went out of their way for us as we were celebrating a birthday during our stay and they made the day very special. We were also welcomed with a few thoughtful touches.
The room and entire resort were beautiful and very well designed. The view from our room and pool was perfect for sunsets and generally stunning regardless of the time of day. The facilities were exactly as you'd expect at a luxury resort and our room was comfortable, stylish and spacious.
The restaurant was above our expectations in regards to both service and quality. The food really was delicious (we had one lunch and dinner at the resort) and breakfast very good.
We also had a 90 minute spa treatment during our stay. The spa was lovely and relaxing and quality of massage exceptional. We had a lunch organised before the spa and we thought 1.5 - 2 hours would be plenty of time to eat and then attend the spa but we ended up running a tiny bit late but the spa were accomodating of this and able to fit us in, however it would be worth noting this if you are booking the same.
We booked a tour from the resort brochure for one day which is something we would never normally do, but decided to go to Gili Nanggu Snorkeling as a day trip. Our driver and tour guide were very informative and friendly and we were very well taken care of. We would definitely recommend doing one of the tours if you are tempted.
Overall we would recommend anyone stay at Kalandara Resort and cannot wait to hopefully visit again in the future!

From the moment of arrival you get the impression that Kalandara resort is something special.
The villas are privately set into the hillside with majestic views that you never tire gazing at. I’m not ashamed to say I cried when we were taken to our villa - it was breathtaking!
The villa was incredibly clean and comfortable, with thoughtful touches throughout even down to earplugs by your bedside should they be required. (There is a mosque nearby which can be heard but in no way is disturbing) All the usual smart tv options, including spotify should the need arise. The bed is very comfortable with nice quality bedding.
The shuttle service into Sengiggi was regular but there really was no need to leave Kalandara should you not want too. We also availed ourself of the shuttle to local restaurants for drop off and pick up which was very welcome.
The Day Spa provided us with the most memorable massages we have enjoyed in a long time - Dina, Tika & Lily wove magic with their hands and took us to the next level of relaxation.
Food and drinks were very well priced and it was easy to over indulge! Our package included breakfast (many choices) plus a dinner or lunch daily. The initial menu was a little limited but was updated during our stay to have greater choice, which was welcomed as a further option and a good decision for guest enjoyment to eat at the resort.
The staff are incredibly accommodating, aware of all your needs and days activities without being intrusive …… and always with a smile and hello. If we could name them all we would (Wulan,Dickie, Olivia, Derek & Wina…… plus so many more) - the GM Mr Komang should be incredible proud of the level of service, he leads an impressive team of people to make Kalandara the special place it is.
This was our first visit to Lombok, but will definitely not be our last.

WOW. This is by far one of the most amazing hotel/ resorts I have ever stayed in. It is situated in the hills of Senggigi right along the coastline so when you walk out of your room all you can see for miles is the beautiful sea. The view is breathtaking and me and my partner never got tired of it. Sunsets are especially magical here.
On the hotel itself it has absolutely everything you need. You have a private pool in your villa along with a HUGE bed and TV. The outside bath/ shower is so peaceful when looking out of the view of the sea (can’t get enough of the view). Then you have the main infinity pool by the resort restaurant which is called the Amatera. They serve some of the nicest food I’ve had in Indonesia! Breakfast was delicious with a huge variety of foods for the buffet.
Aesthetically this hotel is 10/10 but what makes it perfect is the staff. The people that work here are so kind and caring and really make your stay special. I highly recommend staying here if you live magical sunsets, great food and need to relax.

A recently built new resort It was located on a hill, so the view was great from both the room and the main pool. Each room has a private pool, but the main pool had the best view. Since there is a pool in every room, there is no one in the main pool. I was able to enjoy it leisurely. I didn't go anywhere for 3 days and had fun inside. All the food was delicious. The room design is also pretty. There was a bit of noise, but perhaps out of consideration for that, there were ear plugs in the room. It was also unique that you could order things like room service and towels through the TV!! Oh! And the curtain next to the bathtub?! Since you can open it, make sure to ask how to open it. Take a half-body bath while looking at the wonderful view!!

The staff were all wonderfully amazing! We stayed 10 nights here and I feared getting bored with the place and with the all-inclusive meals, but no! The layout of this resort is so unusual and so well done and the meals were a culinary delight. I think next time we will opt for the breakfast only package because, try as we might, we really couldn’t eat breakfast plus two three course meals per day.
We were here to celebrate our first thirty years of marriage and this was our first trip abroad (and sans children) for 28 years. Why Lombok? Well I can’t remember really, Thailand seemed too far on a plane from Melbourne and there’s to be too many tourists too loose and too much mayhem in Bali.
Kalandara was an oasis for us from which we set off on a few expeditions to explore the Island. The larger forays were organised for us by the resort and the smaller ones we did ourselves (to the local towns, villages, markets, Parks and up unlabeled side roads just for the heck of it) on hired scooter. I had not ridden a motorbike of any sort for about 45 years and we must have looked a sight starting off but I quickly got the hang of it and we were soon riding like the locals only with helmets on.
And the five times per day minoretical calls to prayer? Well, this is an Islamic society, 90% of the island’s population is Muslim and we were visitors. Do I think they should change their religious customs and practices because we have come to visit? Absolutely not! So how did we cope; We didn’t try the supplied ear plugs because it really wasn’t that loud, It did wake us up a few times at around 4am, sometimes we ignored them, sometimes we listened to them and wondered what was being said and sometimes we heeded the call and we prayed.
We loved Kalandara and given the opportunity, we will come back with grown up children (yes we did miss them). Oh yes! And have I mentioned that the staff were all Amazing? Well the staff were all beautiful people and “tampiasih” to all of them and I hope their employers deal with them with the respect they deserve.

Amazing view and comfort in the room. It was windy but it was actully really nice and kept the temp down. Stunning to wake up looking over the ocean. The inclinator was a quirky experience to get to the rooms and just adds something far better than hotel elevators. The architecture is amazing with modern blended with traditional. The pools were cool in July but still fine to swim - this will be great when its warmer seasons. Bath looking over the ocean is big enough for two. And it was quite easily the best food we have had in Indonesia (and we were eating far and wide). The staff were so friendly and really helpful with a genuine warmth that is what makes staying in Lombok our preference (maybe matched with Fiji). There is still some service experience that is growing with the staff but the attitude makes up for any faults caused in language barriers (I don't speak any Indonesian). Overall an excellent place in an amazing area and I wish I could be back there now.

Worst Hospitality, Rude Staff, Never Imagine this bad experience come from the five stars Hotel with 4.7⭐️ on Google (for me it's not even worth a single star!)
I was planning to book an iftar session in this Hotel, and was handled by one of their director (Director of Room & Sales). After do the down payment, all i need is their confirmation regarding to my reservation. Because there is no confirmation (or even a 'thank you' from them) i was contacting the person just to reconfirm my reservation. Unexpectedly, that was the beginning of the nightmare.
They said, booking without confirmation for them is normal as long as you did the deposit. Well if it is normal for them, all I need is just the confirmation, that's all. So by that confirmation, i can guaranteed my event.
I was expecting a sincere apology from the director, but on the contrary she just not showing a good manner. She called me with high and intense intonation (with anger) and give me option to give back my deposit that 'implicitly' shows that 'i dont care about your small money'.
I guess this happened because I book the iftar with a promotion, but i believe this never be a good reason to flaws and downgraded the service.
I hope that this review, saw by the hotel's board of director, so your hotel can be improved.

Thank you for the warmest welcoming. Highly appreciate the courteous service and very friendly staff. One of the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The scenery from our hotel room was amazing. It was so relaxing to watch it. Also very beautiful garden in the hotel room area. It was so lovely when the hotel room had a private pool where you could just jump in. In the high standard bed I got a very good night sleep and I woke up refreshed. Wifi and TV worked excellently. Breakfast was goals, so many choices. I am so greatful for this experience and thank you for having us.
