Derived from Sanskrit Language, means “heaven”, Svarga is uniquely designed as an exclusive resort like no-where. With its hilly contour, it provides a natural offbeat ambience combined with the richness of local cultures. Here, you’ll find a calming resort under the swaying coconut leaves, which is ideally located close to “Senggigi” as one of Lombok’s main tourism area. Explore the undeniable charms of Lombok island: with the smell of tropical breeze, white sandy beaches curved by the lush hills of Rinjani, and sowed by the lustrous colors of hand-made woven clothes. Svarga puts itself among those all.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights.
The staff were incredible. They were extremely professional at all times. Some even had a cute sense of humor. I give the hotel 3 out of 5 because of the staff.
The hotel itself is very rundown and is in desperate need of a make over. There was damp in the walls of our bathroom which created a terrible stench. Having a shower was therefore not a pleasurable experience.
This was the most expensive hotel we stayed at in Indonesia and so we expected a certain level of luxury. Unfortunately we didn’t experience this, so it was a bit of a let down.
Senggigi, the area is a real ghost town. It was surreal to experience being the ONLY tourist in a shop, market, supermarket or restaurant. I can tell you that it was a bit freaky.
If you do visit Senggigi make sure that you plan tours, else you’ll be bored out of your mind.
Bluebird taxis are super easy to find here.
The breakfast was also not the greatest but it was palatable. I had the healthy breakfast which consisted of chopped up fruit with some cream, I think (it didn’t taste very good) with muesli and milk with either a pancake or waffle with banana or pineapple.
The view from the restaurant was stunning. We could see Mt Agung clearly in the distance.
My honest opinion, is to go to Kuta, Lombok instead of Senggigi.
The first room we booked into was the Neima room. We were severely disappointed. We killed about 30 mosquitoes in the first 20 minutes of being there. They would’ve carried us away. It was truly awful. We asked for an upgrade. We paid an extra RP600 000 for a bigger room with a private pool. We felt a lot more comfortable (besides the bathroom with the damp in the walls)

The title says it all, spectacular. The room is very comfortable with an open air kitchen/living room and a sealed A/C bedroom. Pool is great with a second shower attached and a deck for sunbathing. Apart from the room, the facilities are basic. The food is ok, there is a spa. No alcohol is served. The lift is very slow and doesn’t always work so be prepared to tackle a lot of stairs if you want that view!

Booked a trip to Lombok in September 23, on arrival the staff greeted us at reception, they were exceptionally friendly and professional from the onset. We had arrived a little earlier than expected and the manager came out to greet us. He then took us for a breakfast and chatted with us until the room was ready, this was an amazing experience that I have not received in any other hotel I’ve ever stayed in. I must say it was a very nice start to the experience at Svarga.
The room itself was nice however did seem a little tired and run down. This was reflected in the entire hotel however it was not bad enough to ruin the experience. I think Covid hit the island very hard and they have had a number of natural disasters over recent years so it is more than understandable. The only reason I haven’t rated this 5 stars is because the lift was sadly broken and we had 185 steps to climb every day to get anywhere, the rooms are set up on the hills which is amazing for views but if you struggle at all with mobility then this will be a problem. They are in the process of building a new lift and the workers are there day and some of the night working hard to sort this.
Room cleanliness was exceptional as was the level of service from the staff and chefs at the restaurant. The staff at the restaurant really made this hotel, the food was expertly cooked and the two combined made it difficult for us to find anywhere else locally that matched up. The view whilst eating was also stunning and well worth the steps up to get there.
On a whole this hotel was gorgeous and for the money was well worth every penny. I would definitely recommend Svarga based on the customer service alone. After a bit of a touch up and a new lift this would be back to being a 5 star resort.

This review is from a German traveler in June 2022, two month after Indonesia opens borders after the covid pandemic.
The things that need improvement:
I stayed in two different rooms in the hotel. First in room 213, which was quite old and looked worn. I was in the hotel in 2018 also, and there its condition was much better. There is a urgent need for maintenance (mirrors broken, broken wall pieces, old toilt seat and most disgusting: a moldy mini bar). Please focus more on maintenance.
My second room was 307, a Pool Villa, which was very great. Not comparable to the other room.i was very happy with the Pool Villa, however one morning they released the water for whatever reason I was never told.
However I did not get any welcome drink.
The good things:
Spa is very very good and absolutely great value for money! Can highly recommend.
Restaurant is absolutely GORGEOUS EXCELLENT and IMPRESSIVE. Absolutely friendly and helpful staff that definitely go the extra mile. Special thanks to chef Boum-Boum for his amazing warm welcome when he recognized that I was there already in 2018. Further thanks go to waiter Wilson and the great trainee Mustafa (he was very friendly, helpful and foresighted. Hope Svarga Resort will offer him a full-time employment after finishing trainee).
The value for money is great in the restaurant and the nice view with the infinity pool and over the palms is nice).
In sum:
+++ Restaurant
+++ Spa
0- Rooms (need more maintenance)
I might come again if they renovate and maintain the rooms.

This place may scream luxury from the photos, but everything about the place is dated, old, not working, and feels very cheap.
But when we stayed, the dated furniture was the least of our problems, our first night, we had an ants nest in our room, so it was absolutely crawling with them! After repeated asking, they let us change rooms. But we had many more problems there too. For one whole DAY, we had no running water in the room, no sink, bath, toilet would work. Every time we called management, they told us 10,15,20 minutes, and the last time they said that to me was 6 hours before it got fixed! After many other smaller things, my wife and I were looking forward to check out time. I was expecting that a “4 Star Luxury Hotel” would be happy to give some sort of partial refund, but they told me that they didn’t do refunds, and the best they could offer was a taxi to the airport, worth about £7. Please, so yourself a favour, and never stay at this hotel!

I recently stayed at Svarga Resort for one night and was disappointed with my experience. The room was a bit dirty and had an old-fashioned feel. The staff was slow to respond to our needs, and we had to carry our luggage a long distance to the reception, navigating numerous stairs along the way. Additionally, when we ordered food, they brought us items we didn’t order after informing us that our choices were out of stock. Overall, the stay was not up to expectations.

The lifts are not working, I was assigned a room on the seventh floor! I shortened my stay and they provide me in writing that I will be refunded, despite my several follow ups till the date I did not receive! It’s a scam.. ask if the lifts are working before you book..

Because the hotel's amenities are so basic, it is not equipped to accommodate guests. With so many stairs, the lift has been broken for a long time and is not suitable for the elderly or persons with disabilities. Fortunately, the personnel is helpful and polite.

Comfortable with spacious rooms and outdoor terrace. The toilet is quite comfortable plus the bathtub. Service is quite good and very friendly. The breakfast menu is quite varied. There is always a maid who cleans the rooms every day.

This was our second time staying at Svarga. We booked the same villa with a killer view and our own pool.
It’s comfortable and has everything you need. The room just feels a bit tired. Needs a paint freshener up. The bathroom was a bit leaky too.
The telephone didn’t work.
The pool area was great. The grounds surrounding are very well kept and lush.
Breakfast average.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
IThe view across the tree canopy and towards the water and Bali volcano is spectacular. Sunsets breathtaking,
Expect a few ‘call to prayers’ early morning and through out the day.
Adds to the atmosphere. 🙏
To get into town you will need a bike or a short cab ride. Easy enough.
Not sure if we’d stay a 3rd time but it is hard to ignore the lure of that view and pool.

Yes they do! We ask for one extra bed and they charged around 30% of the room charge I suppose. And we get one extra breakfast per extra bed, as usual.
Wifi is so so, not too weak but not too strong
