I only wish we could have stayed more than one night. This was one of the most memorable travel experiences we have had. We were not prepared for just how long and windy the drive up the mountain was or how remote the village is, but it is worth it. A tip: make sure you have gas in the car...

This is a once in a life-time experience! Highly recommed it! Ask Mina to tell you the legend about Bianca, the daughter of the marquis. We stayed at Biffore room - a huge room, just like on the photo from the last centuries. This place is all about history, legends of ghosts :) and fine emotions. Thank you, Mina and...

The castle is in a nice location. The view from the town of Fosdinovo is great. However, visiting the castle itself is problematic. We went there and found that the visiting times were different from the one reported on the website. In any case, even the amended times didn't hold for the day in which we visited: the guide was...

By chance we visited this town. The castle was wonderful, quiet, comfortable and ours. It was not so easy to find the reception, somebody who spoke other than Italian, or a place to eat, but it was a memorable stay. The view!!!

We visited Fosdinovo for the castle, but the town was very picturesque and the view was phenomenal! The town is very sleepy, but so cute and walkable in about 30 minutes. The castle has limited tours, so check before you go. It is also in Italian. They gave us an Ipod, but it did not really follow the tour. There...

We stayed in the castle B & B the 3rd week of September. The castle hospitality was great!! The views of the mountains, valley and ocean in the distance make this a photographers dream. They do give you the keys to the castle and you are able to wander the rooms. The night we stayed there were only us and...

We are here now with our friends. Just witnessed and heard a thunder and lightening storm in the clouds, was amazing ! This place is more than amazing. High up, in the clouds, above a beautiful village perched on a mountain. You have a bunch of keys a little wooden door with B&B' on it to open and the castle...

The castle is located on top of a hill, surrounded by a quaint village (Fosdinovo), with expansive view of the region/sea and can be tricky to find. But that may also be the reason why the place is less crowded than what one might expect given the uniqueness of the attraction. The castle is a museum and doubles as a...
