The hotel is located at El Gomhoreia St. few steps from the train station and few steps away from Abdel Raheem Al Qenawy Mosque ( the famous sight seeing at Qena) The hotel is unclassified but it was clean, private toilet for every room Breakfast provided at the room as there is no restaurant or cafeteria Overall the hotel is ok with almost best value for money ( 12 USD per night)
I visited Qena on March 2018 for a business trip that was supposed to last for one day but I unfortunately I didn't go as I planned so I had to stay in a hotel for one night and I chose the first decent looking hotel in my way and I wasn't disappointed. The stuff were friendly and the room was clean and It was comfy despite being not so roomy. The hotel is in a very good spot for all methods of transport.. Being within the city you wouldn't expect a good view and the breakfast was meh. For that price I highly recommend it for short business stay
Clean, private, safe with security camera in every floor, day included with breakfast, ability to order lunch as delivery from nearby restaurants, also you can see friends in the reception of the hotel.
We had the pleasure of staying at Grand Hotel, which is the sister to Dreams Hotel and is situated 50 meters along the same road. It is a few minutes walk from Qena train station and about 10 minutes walk to bus pick up/drop off point. The hotel staff were very welcoming and attentive. We were shown to our 4th floor twin room (there is an elevator), and was surprise how large it was. There was an en suite wet room, and in the air conditioned bedroom - a large refrigerator, wall mounted tv, and a table n chairs. The beds were really comfortable. The staff at the hotel keep the premises spotless. There is a coffee bar/eating area on 3rd floor as well as numerous shops at ground level. The hotel is situated on the main road opposite the train station, so it's handy for all of the shops and souks. We visited Dendra temple which is only 20 minutes by car away. This was the highlight of our trip. Abydos is approx 45 minutes drive. During the evening it was wonderful to sail along the Nile at dusk and watch the world drift by. We were extremely happy with our stay at Grand Hotel and would definitely recommend it to other travellers. …
The Dream Hotel is close to the train station, there are many shops and a good kushary place around the corner. Ideal for a trip to Dendera. The (small) breakfast is served in the room, as they don't have a restaurant. Wifi and AC in the room. The shower is, as in many of Egypt's cheaper hotels, in the middle of a small bathroom, so be prepared to make everything wet. Towels were not provided. It was not the cheapest option, we paid 300E£, locals pay less. The staff was friendly.
