Stayed here with my husband for 2 nights for a long weekend without the kids. We got a deal so has dbb for 2 nights. The drive in is quite impressive with amazing views of the house. We checked in and had a contemporarily decorated room on the ground floor. The bed was comfortable and the room was well equipped....

Were invited for carvery today. The building is very impressive but the food on the carvery was bad. We had Tomatoe and basil soup to start which was watery and couldn't see any basil,it was almost certainly powder soup, chaep and tasteless. The carvery was ok but the Yorkshire puds were tasteless, could have been eating a piece of cardboard! Gravy watery,all...

Great venue. Really enjoyed our stay. Golf was great, though we couldn't secure a buggy and it is a long walk round the course! Club house good. Will return. Our room in the hotel was fab overlooking the 18th hole from the attic. Large and comfortable; bathroom huge. Had everything we wanted. Lunch in conservatory was disappointing as our sandwiches...

Very enjoyable stay, will book again soon. The only very minor thing was the lack of sugar tongs but we managed to cope. The swimming pool can't have easy disabled access due to the age of the building but they have a device for helping wheelchairs up the steps.

We were greeted by the receptionist who escorted us to our room. She offered us alternative accommodation if it proved unsuitable (as it was in the attic), but we loved it. There was a buffet breakfast with the option to order additional items. The pool and sauna were an excellent addition

WC leaking in first room offered!! we were relocated to a "superior" room which was smaller. Had to wait 1/2 an hour for a basic starter at supper and then 1 hour for a burger which any self respecting establishment should be able to prepare in 20mins max! The limited, A la Carte (not impressed with quality of food) restaurant...
