Great hotel on a quiet part of Lovina Beach, right on the beach. This means that you don't have to choose between pool and beach, you can have both. The restaurant has a good menu and the rooms are beautiful.
We had a wonderful stay, the owners of the hotel are such friendly people. The staff are so happy and helpful serving the most wonderful breakfasts. We really enjoyed out stay, walking out of our room in the morning within a few steps in the wonderful sea snorkelling. Room very clean . Was a good base to see sights in the North
On arrival, you are immediately impressed what a stunning property this is. My 19 year old daughter Chelsea has CP cannot walk and uses a Wheelchair. Villa Agung came highly recommended by one of the Tripadvisor regulars. As far as accessibility goes there is one small step to our villa and another to the restaurant. The owners Sandy and Gus are amazing hosts and their wonderful staff so genuine treating all their guests with respect and in a kind and caring manner. Nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are immaculately clean. The bed are so comfy with lots of pilliows, which I love. We had the Villa Studio Apartment, A queen, a single and a set of bunks, with a good size fridge. The restaurant foods, are equal to any high end European restaurant, the menu quite comprehensive and good value. Their breads, jams, sauces, stocks, pasta are all hand made and you can really taste the difference. The included breakfast is fantastic but if you require extras they available for only a couple of dollars more. On arrival Chelsea was invited to visit the local village, and Gus kindly transported us each day. All our activities were organised through here, at very reasonable prices Dolphin Watching 100 000 pp Fishing 300 000 pp Massage 100 000 pp Laundry was done within the day very cheaply. The view from the top floor, as good as you can get. Everything was perfect, We cannot recommend this place too highly. …
My husband and I found this gem when we needed to have our visa extended in Singaraja. What a find!!! Directly on the beach, beautiful rooms, wonderful food, clean pool, fabulous staff who will help out with anything they can! We absolutely loved everything about this place! Gus and Sandy upgraded us to an even more beautiful room at no cost! The entire rooms and grounds are spotless and it is RIGHT ON THE BEACH!! We loved our time here with this “family” and would highly recommend staying here!! We miss them all already!
We arrived on Wednesday for a 2 night stay. Gus Sandy Norman and all the staff were lovely. The rooms were very good size with a balcony. Amazing sea views from pool and restaurant. Our bed a little hard but had worse in Kuta. Breakfast was very gd. Fresh juice, Best scramble eggs in Bali and baked bread. Easy to organize a massage and gd price. Easy access to other amenities and set off main rd so traffic noise no issue. Arranged dolphin tour through Norman. Would come back.
This is the real Bali, absolute beach front and quiet.Owners and staff are amazing. The staff are treated more like family than employees.Food and drinks are great and at a realistic price.Awesome sunsets over the ocean.Perfect for a real holiday.
If you are going to the North of the island, I highly recommend staying in this Villa! My assessment it - 10 and 10!! A lot of advantages: the first line of the ocean, at high tide the water comes to the Villa!)) Very neat and cosy rooms, there is everything in them, rabotaet, cleaned every day! We stayed as a family (husband, me and 2 kids 8 and 14) to relax and not bother each other, we rented 2 rooms - for us and for the kids. But the Villa has many different accommodation options, including rooms for families with 3 and 4 children!!) Very pleased with the clean and tidy pool, which is very well cleaned every morning! Well-groomed and comfortable area of the Villa: swimming pool, sunbeds, comfortable and not wet pads, benches, large balcony on the second floor, bar on the territory of the restaurant overlooking the ocean, where every day see off the sunset cute owners of the Villa)) Staff - very friendly, friendly and caring!! All of us, including children were very comfortable)) On the territory of the Villa live a few dogs that may not seem friendly.. But they are very kind, just do not touch them. When they get used to you, they will fit)) They guarded us the entire vacation, one dog always slept at the door children, while the other guarded the bottom)) the restaurant - thanks to all who prepared food! everything is very tasty, the only thing is expensive))) the Owners are very kind and sympathetic people, especially Gas!! Many thanks to him! His daily smiles and jokes are very uplifting! Special thanks to him for helping in visa extension! He personally took us with the children to the emigration service and helped with the documents!! Yes, we stayed in this hotel for 2 weeks and decided to stay for another two!! And honestly, we do not regret it for a minute! I live here, every day I admire everything that is around and I do not understand why people do not go to the North? There is great weather, gorgeous ocean, incredible snorkeling, diving, dolphins swim every morning, mountains, waterfalls, temples! Everything is great!! I even mastered the bike, because the movement here is much quieter than for example in the South of the island! And Yes, the staff helps not only in the Villa, but also for all other issues, such as daily snorkeling, taxis, trips, bikes)) you can contact us for any questions! Everyone who has not been to the North, be sure to go!! You will not regret! and it's not cold at all, as some frighten on the Internet. The whole holiday was +30, no cloudy day, the ocean is calm and beautiful))))) And if you come to the North, go to Mr. GAZ in Villa Agung!!))…
They have spent a lot of money improving their resort larger pool great food and extremely good staff and management...all new pool furniture and two new bungalows. Right on the water front and good bar service. Very family friendly.
I visited this hotel based on good reviews and felt very confused when I got there because it’s not a place I would recommend. Though price is low, I don’t think it’s a good value for price. PROS: it’s on the beach, bed is comfortable with feather pillows and owner was very nice CONS: beach is not nice for swimming - looks dirty and sand not made for walking, very isolated location but amenities/food at hotel not good enough to stay isolated on hotel premises, food is very very bland (I tried six different dishes, and staff often appeared bored and unpleasant (for instance, in the corner chatting and reluctantly doing work). For me, deal breaker was food, it was pretty bad, cooked by someone who probably don’t care to make it delicious. Finally, room and property might have been nice at one point but it is now old and rusted.…
A friend recommended Villa Agung to me a few years ago and within a day or two of enjoying the peace and tranquility, I knew I’d found my happy place. Since then, I’ve returned for a three week stay every six months. The hotel is on the seafront and it's the perfect place to enjoy the amazing sunsets, sea breezes or watching the fishing boats I'm not a fan of large impersonal hotels, preferring the more intimate feel that small hotel’s offer. Being a small hotel, Villa Agung has nine nicely presented rooms, comfortable beds and also family rooms. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The ocean side restaurant is lovely and on the floor above is a perfect place to read or simply relax or gaze at the water. I’ve eaten most of my meals at Villa Agung and found the food delicious and freshly cooked, plus they make their own pasta and bake their own bread. I can highly recommend Villa Agung…
