We have been here last April and stayed for 3 weeks. We had a fantastic time, really enjoyed the diversity of the diving and the quietness of the resort. We made great muck dives (including Rhinopeas) with all the famous critters but also great coral garden dives with a high variety of corals. Currents can be serious but the dive...

I spent two weeks at Alor Divers this summer. I have been diving in many places, including Indonesia and the Philippines. Alor, and this resort, are unequivocally the best experience I've had. The diving is amazing. You can go from beautiful walls and reefs to incredible muck sites in the same day! The resort is remote and intimate. People are...

Alor Dive Resort is one of the only places to stay in the Alor group of islands. I stayed here for 2 weeks just for snorkelling and was very happy with the high level of service provided. There were 3 good buffet meals per day, biscuits and snacks available all the time and tea and coffee. Regarding the food I...

If you want to visit pristine diving sites, with no other divers and more marine life (big and small) than you can shake a stick at, this is the resort for you! The lodge is remote, the accommodation is relatively basic but clean, comfortable and more than adequate, and the food is wholesome and good - especially bearing in mind...

My wife and I visited Alor Divers in June. For us, it was a simple trip via Bali. Gilles, the owner, helped arrange the Bali-Kupang-Alor flights. He was helpful and answered all of our questions. The accommodations and food are simple - all fits together in a beautiful and remote tropical location. It was a surprise to have such nice...

This place is probably worth the journey, which involves flying into Kupang and then getting another flight onwards to Alor, because there are not many divers around and the diving is excellent. The booking process is simple, and Gilles is prompt in his replies to queries and full of useful information. After arriving at Alor airport you are driven another...

Our group of 4 planned to have this dive holiday almost 6 month back and I must say that from the onset, Gilles ( the owner ) has been most helpful in helping us with the domestic flights and the other small details that come with any trip. When we arrived, after a long journey from Singapore to Bali, then...

This is a magical place for divers. The accommodations and food are simple yet excellent. Diving is some of the best in the world with beautiful reefs covered in hard and soft corals. The staff is well trained and very respectful.

Alor Divers is located in Pantar Island in Alor archipelago. The place is mostly cater divers but i am a non-diver. A driver picked us up in Alor airport to Kalabahi, where we then took a speedboat to the resort. We were welcomed by owner, Gilles and Neya and the dive guides, Jennie and Daniele (who drove the boat), and...

6 days out of the world I know. Must see dive sites with pristine coral reefs. I saw and took pics of a couple of frog fishes, mimic octopus and a ghost pipefish in one muck dive at Ampera site off alor island. There are serious currents on some sites and experience is well required. Gilles, the owner did take...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Alor Island's world class dive spot in Indonesia. An intimate eco dive resort where diving Indonesia is passion of divers. Home to extraordinary marine life. Our intimate resort is situated on a stretch of 400 m long sandy beach on Pantar Island. To preserve the authentic atmosphere of the place, we took special care while integrating the resort in its natural surrounding. To enchance friendly ambiance and personalized service, the number of guests are limited to 12. Locals from nearby village, few assistants from the main town of the region, Kalabahi, and Western management make up the hospitable working team, committed to present you with a memorable stay in our islands retreat. The climate of Alor is particularly pleasant: the months from early April to late October are fairly dry and nights are often surprisingly cold, therefore acclimatization is less harsh than one might imagine. Moreover, due to the lack of standing fresh water, mosquitoes are rare to encounter for most of the year. ... more   less

“If you want good diving and an escape from the hustle and bustle of city life this is the place. You cannot be tempted to work out of the office as there is no internet or reliable wifi, no TV and no news-papers. So bring your own reading material to enjoy the time between dives.”
