Nampula is not anything to write home about and, for tourists at least, serves as a convenient stopover between the north and south. We stayed in the off season so the hotel was very quiet. If you don't need to be in the city center Bamboo is a good option. Located in the outskirts of Nampula. Rooms are clean and the AC is quiet and working. The best thing about the Hotel Bamboo is that it is out of the crowed Nampula. The hotel has a vast land with quite a few rooms, all with air con. and toilet, the shower is very good and hot, which was very welcomed after a long drive. I based myself in Nampula recently on a business trip to the general area. Hotel Bamboo was a good and clean venue that had working Aircon and excellent quality rooms in a large well laid out venue.
