The outward appearance is a cafe but the room on the floor above was spacious and airy. The staff were most helpful and the breakfasts superb. We stayed for two nights and found the location great for pubs and restaurants.

We were just passing through, but our arrival in Cerne Abbas coincided with lunch time. As an alternative to a pub Abbots would probably be an obvious choice with it's prominent position on he High Street and appealing looks from the exterior. The menu had plenty of variety, but they are deserving of an excellent review due to the quality...

On a rainy, chilly morning we just popped in for a coffee, having wandered around the charming village. The lady who served us couldn't have been more accommodating or friendly and the coffee was delicious! She shared information about the village, it's church and old abbey. The baked goods looked tasty.

My boyfriend and I stayed for two lovely nights at Abbots during the first weekend of September. We wanted to use the B&B as a base to visit the local area and weren’t disappointed as Cerne Abbas feels like a 10-20 minute drive from loads of great places inc. Dorchester, Wareham (Lulworth Cove and Castle, Durdle Door), Weymouth, Portland, Abbotsbury...

Our family spent a week at Abbots in July, and had a splendid time. Our two rooms were comfortable and well equipped with comforts, including the best power showers in England. Breakfasts were delicious and tailored to individual tastes. The location in one of the most beautiful small villages in England is not to be beaten. The village store is...

You can't fault Abbots. It's undeniably good and reliable. In a perfect setting you can look up and down the main village street, looking out a world gone by, that really does still exist. It's here!! Half expect Miss Marple to arrive with a dog collared vicar and for the latest gossip to be overheard with either poisonings afoot or...

In a location central to a lot of south coast tourist attractions and also quiet at night when you need a good rest, Abbots is well placed as a B&B. Rooms are clean and comfortable and in the room I had, a very comfortable bed. Nicola, Adam and the staff are attentive and helpful, looking after my dietary requirements easily....

Many thanks for your review Patrick. It was a pleasure to meet you and I enjoyed our chats - who would have thought that although you now live in Australia, and I in Dorset we were actually born in the same Hospital in Surrey - small world indeed. I very much hope to welcome you back again in the future....

I've stayed at Abbots twice now and each time I've been impressed at how friendly and helpful Nicola and all her staff are. The rooms are above the Abbots tearooms (that's really good too!) Our bedroom overlooked the village street and the beautiful C16th New Inn. The street was quiet and the room was spotlessly clean. Nice comfy bed and...

Adam and Nicola do a superb job at Abbots. Clean, comfy and cozy. Garden area is attractive and the location is perfect. Breakfast was abundant, delicious and a perfect way to start the day (make sure to try the beans on toast with their 'fantastic' sausages, you won't be disappointed.). We will be back!
