We had the pleasure of staying with Barbara and Stephen at the beginning of October 2016, The accommodation is superb, Barbara is extremely welcoming and couldn't be more helpful with directions and suggestions of places to see and things to do in the area. Breakfast the first morning clearly showed that dining at the restaurant was going to be a... More

On arriving at the Smugglers Restaurant with rooms we were warmly greeted by Barbara who gave us a permit for parking in the harbour car 2 minutes down the hill which save us quite a lot of money and by the time we came back from the car park our bags had already been taken to our room, Forbes which... We stayed for nights at the Smugglers. The accommodation is very well appointed and maintained. The room and bathroom were spotless. Each room also has the use of a private courtyard. The breakfasts were superb with quite an extensive choice of cooked options. The food was beautifully cooked and presented by Stephen. Barbara was a wonderful hostess and couldn't do... More

Smugglers is a great place to stay. In an old atmospheric building looking over the Newlyn harbour, the bedrooms are surprisingly comfortable with ensuite bathrooms, and all spotlessly clean. The Smugglers restaurant serves delicious food. Nothing is too much trouble for Barbara who looks after the guests with great care.

Warm welcome, delicious fresh, local food and beautiful views out over the fishing fleet in Newlyn harbour. A restaurant rather than "pub" feel, the limited menu wouldn't suit everyone, but reflects the fact that everything is home cooked.

Perfect place to relax, Barbara was so helpful , food great, rooms immaculate , great location with lots of walks and local villages, booking next year without a doubt. After riding from John O Groats to Lands End it was the perfect relaxing stopover for my wife and myself, loved it , booking next year for a longer stay.

Just left this morning after a two night stay for a friend's wedding nearby. Lovely B&B, good restaurant too (and breakfast was fantastic). The owner Barbara was incredibly welcoming. Bed was very comfortable and room was clean. Definitely recommend it.

We enjoyed a night at this lovely little B&B last weekend. The owners are incredibly friendly which makes for a lovely atmosphere. I had sardines followed by lemon sole; my... More
