Our four day stay here was amazing, our host Roz was lovely. Our room absolutely spotless, the bed really comfy. The bathroom was large with a bath, unfortunately no shower but I knew this when I booked it, so went prepared. But that what was fine. Breakfast was superb, the works, fresh fruit, cereal, full English and toast, fruit juice, yogurts and tea. It was no problem we had to pay with cash, again I was prepared for that. Us British would not expect to pay by card or contact less which at the moment is only up to £30 ( at the moment I think) in Britain. We would definitely stay there again, we were made so welcome. Thank you Roz.

Roisin was a great host and the breakfast was fantastic. We were in room #2 which had a bath that formerly had a shower. Awkward kidney shaped job. Should rip it out, but I did have my first bath in 20 years! She is just great. The food was wonderful and the view from the breakfast area is panoramic. Good recommendation on pubs. However, it really needs Google maps interactive to find it. Up a steep road, last house, but no sign and down a slope which looks doubtful. Do not go further as the bushes on each side get extremely narrow! The bed is declared as King Size but that is the 5.5ft UK standard and not Canadian 6ft.

The wireless internet was almost non-existent. It was very poor and very frustrating as we chose this venue specifically for Internet access which we rely on as international travelers.

The host Roz was very disorganised, by her own admission for breakfast on our first morning and cereals in their packets is not a good look as are jams and marmalades in half empty jars.

Gwavas Lake Farm is hard to find and the location is difficult to access which can be tiring for those who have driven a long way to be there.

We found that Roz's cash only policy is quite backward in this age of contactless payments via credit card.

Our room was clean but there was no shelf in the bathroom and the towel rack did not heat up.

We came away from Gwavas Lake Farm talking about the bad points which put a dampener on our visit to Cornwall.

Situated on a hill that requires meandering through the beautiful Cornish streets sits Gwavas Lake Farm B and B.
Charming welcome, efficient, clean, well kept rooms and a view from the lounge area where tea was taken and later a bottle of wine to enjoy the amazing view of Newlyn and Penzance.
The rooms are spacious and this was the most comfortable nights sleep amongst the beautiful and soft bed linen.
Fine breakfast and that view again, this was excellent value for money.

We stayed at gwavas lake farm for 3 nights over may bank holiday weekend. The accommodation was amazing, clean and comfortable. No shower in our room, but was offered another room. But that didn't put us off. Full cooked breakfast every morning with a good choice of different breakfast, cereal and fruit. Ros was very helpful and friendly. Great location to explore the surrounding areas. Quiet location and easy to find. Definitely worth staying here and wouldn't hesitate to book again or recommend. Thank you for making us welcome. This was an excellent b and b, with Ros a friendly and helpful hostess, who cooked a mean full English breakfast, after fresh fruit and cereals. We eat in the large and airy extension overlooking Newlyn and with St Michaels mount in the distant view. Our bedroom was comfortable and well supplied.
I definitely recommend using the instructions on Ros' website rather than satnav.

Stayed here for two nights while we explored around Penzance and Land's End. The house is in a really pleasant spot with great views over the sea looking towards Penzance. Our room was spacious and clean with a lovely en suite. Ros, the owner, is a lovely lady who clearly works hard. The breakfast was excellent with a good choice of cereals, fruit and cooked options. We felt at home here and will be back if we're in the area again. Thank you for a lovely stay 🙂

A little off the beaten track, but well worth the effort. Beautiful little gem within easy walking distance of Newlyn. Our host, Ros, is a lovely lady; very friendly and helpful. Excellent room; spacious, clean and comfortable with well appointed en-suite. Breakfast in the conservatory was delightful, with the quality of the food complimented by the beautiful views across Gwavas Lake (which is not a lake at all, but part of the bay at Penzance). Note: No EFTPOS/Credit Card facilities.

We stayed here over night as it was convenient for us boarding the Scillonian ferry first thing the next day. The first thing that struck me was the beautiful panoramic sitting dining room Ros has with lovely views of the Penzance coastline. Ros was very pleasant when we arrived and show us straight to our lovely double en suite room. Decorated tastefully and very clean we popped the kettle on and made use of the facilities before venturing out in search of fish and chips. On returning we wanted a wash before bed, regretfully our en suite only had a corner bath in which the shower was broke,n but it didn't stop us jumping in the bath together! Maybe an upgrade to a shower would be needed but it was really a problem for us. We had a comfy night sleep and were off early without breakfast so I can't comment on what I'm sure would've been a splendid meal. Ros did let us have the room at a discount because of this and it was our honeymoon :-) very kind. Many thanks x
