We have been here 6 times. We love it. Tony and Nancy are awesome, the food is great and the pool is awesome. You have to remember your traveling to a third world country, if you are looking for a world class resort go to Cancun. If you are looking to chill, do some surfing and all around relaxing this... Nancy and her husband were so hospitable and accommodating our entire trip! Great conversation, food, and environment. Me and my fellow travelers couldn't have asked for a more amazing stay than at the Surf Sanctuary.

Wow, I wish I would have read Brenncc's review before my trip! Thank you for such a detailed review, all of which I could not have agreed with more after our trip here in February 2015. Your point about the owners is spot-on. Nice enough people for sure, but not cut out for customer service. My husband and I have... More

Stayed here with a surfing friend. Even though I didn't surf I was able to travel along on the surf trips to enjoy the beaches . Did not see the hostel rooms but the place had the commradery of a hostel. The cabin was fantastic - 4 beds, great AC, spacious room with a lovely bathroom. Lovelyn

I stayed here while attending a medical mission at the nearby town. The location is unbelievable: it is just a few walkable blocks (if there were blocks) from the ocean and the most amazing beach. It is peaceful, quiet, yet safe with the other homes on the property and "guard" dogs. The owners are helpful with tips and the cooks... More

I went to the Surf Sanctuary with 6 girlfriends this past April. We did the all-inclusive package which made our trip awesome! Pick up from the airport? Check. All meals included? Check. Delivered to the surf daily (or 2-3 times)? Check. Three boat trips? Check. Killer surf guides? Check. Photos to take home? Check. In real life we are busy... More

I spent two weeks at The Surf Sanctuary and had a pleasant stay. The grounds were beautiful, the staff was pleasant, and the rooms were kept extremely clean. Not only this, but the food and amnesties were great. I enjoyed swimming in the pool, reading on the hammocks, and enjoying the beach nearby. I highly recommend this hotel - especially... More

I really enjoyed my stay at Surf Sanctuary. For such a rural area, the wifi and air conditioning were a nice taste of home and I appreciated how warm, welcoming, and friendly Tony and Nancy were. The pool, hammocks, and beautiful flowers made hanging out at the hotel enjoyable and I always felt safe. I would highly recommend! :)

After conducting two days of business in Granada and Managua, I took my daughter to the Pacific Coast to do some surfing. Our stay in Casita 5 was fantastic. Cool air conditioning. Sparkling clean. Comfortable, big bed. Great company, delicious food, breakfast included in room price, and super service provided by Jan, the owner and his staff. We met some... More
