This is a magical ranch with so many beautiful birds, playful dogs, and unique vegetation. The rooms have handcrafted thatched roofs and behind them is the flowing Mopan River. Even though it was raining through most of our stay, Chena drove us to the ruins and to the local market to pick out exotic fruits. Chena knows a lot about...

We had a great stay at Clarissa Falls. Chena is a fabulous host who was the extremely helpful from the moment we made enquiries for a booking to the dropping us at the Belize border at the end of our stay. We were sad to say goodbye to Chena and Clarissa Falls. The cabins are very comfortable with great hot...

Not a "hotel," and not really a "resort" either, but what a fabulous experience. I feel genuinely sorry for people who visit Cayo District (or Belize, for that matter) and fail to stay at this magical place. We so nearly booked some routine little hostel in San Ignacio! (Nothing wrong with San Ignacio - and be sure to catch the...

Chena is a wonderful host and cook! She offers fine hospitality to all of her guests. Clarissa Falls is a beautiful location in the Cayo District, and Chena's resort is a comfortable and cozy place to stay. I have been coming here for several years and just made a recent return back this month. Everything was just as I remembered....

We visited Clarissa Falls on our day trip with the rented motorbike from sidewalk sage. We did not stay overnight but had an early diner. The lady who owns the place was very nice and prepared some superb sandwiches. Lovely place to relax!

Chena is not only an amazing cook (really I have to call her a chef), but a very kind and entertaining lady! Everything is made to order and is absolutely delicious - not to mention extremely inexpensive. We had chips and her to die for salsa (fought each other for the last dip), 60 cents tacos (yes, really 60 cents),...

I'm not sure what makes this place more special the owner (Chena) or the beautiful, quaint location? But Clarissa Falls is absolutely wonderful. The beautiful grounds, the delicious food, and the family feeling from Chena make this place a must! We couldn't recommend it more. Definitely a highlight of our trip.

This is a nice find and most certainly off the beaten path. The food was great----- located on a small river -----the service very friendly-----a true "local vibe". We had several recommendations from locals and expats to visit here. Nice short drive from St. Ignacio/ St. Elena!

though we haven't stayed in the huts, and they are huts with thatched roofs. simple furnishings. dont expect the high end resorts geared toward tourists. these are for those who love the ourtdoors, peace and quiet, and great food. we make it a point to stop by here after visiting the mayan ruins (just down the road) for milkshakes and...
