We went to play disc golf as it is the BEST AND ONLY disc course in Belize. The price is excellent at $6 belize or $3 USD per person and includes discs and a 9 hole course through the jungle. It is located right off humming bird highway about 15 minutes past san ignacio heading east towards Guatemala. This is...

Thank you for visiting our disc golf course , great to hear that you had fun. Our apologies on whoever was hunting , I must comment that we don't allow any hunting in our 22 acres of property . Be sure will address and look more in depth about this matter since indeed it can be spooky .

I stayed here during my study abroad in Belize and had a really great time! Be warned, this does not have amenities like a resort. There are out houses, cold showers, and bugs around the area, but it's a family owned place and a great price. If you want an authentic Belize experience away from crowds, and you don't mind...

We had a little eco-cabin for 2 nights and loved it. Very basic, but down to earth. Not for people who need luxury. The staff were very sweet and the food was yummy! There is a river nearby for swimming with the locals and a butterfly park on site ( with blue morphos). They even help us with our boarder...

We stayed for two nights and it was so cold. We only had a sheet and a small blanket and frose all night. The room was so small our bags couldn't fit and it was dusty with spiders hanging down and cockroaches crawling on the bed. The toilets were pittoilets and they smelled really bad, I can only imagine how...

While we enjoyed our time in this area away from San Ignacio. We found the beds made of a foam layer to be to uncomfortable due to sleeping on the slats. I think sleeping on a hammock or flat board would have made our sleep more comfortable. Unfortunately we had to checkout early due to back pain and restless nights...

This place is really nice. Lots of land with basic cabin. Not too expensive and great for outdoorsy or adventurous people that don't like resorts or chain motels. The owners are extremely nice. For a cabin its pretty structurally sound

It rained a lot when we were there and I'm happy to report the huts are very well built and didn't leak at all. Beds were comfy and clean. Toilets and showers were clean and there we enough for the number of huts. Wifi doesn't reach to the rooms but can be used in the restaurant. There is a fridge...

Upon my second stay at Trek Stop I am comfortable with telling anyone that this place and the great family that run it, is a must do experience! Nice clean cabins, great spots for camping, great food from the kitchen and a peaceful relaxing environment to use as a base to visit Xunantunich or a jumping off point for Tikal...

Stayed here as part of a gadventures tour. This is not really my thing but I embrassed the challenge. It was quite a trek up the steps to the entrance with backpacks but there was a welcoming common area at the entrance.the huts are like sheds and simple, but clean..try not to think about the creepy crawleys! The area is...

Had been told nightmares about this place but upon arrival it was much better then expected. Cabins were basic, the rain water showers an experience and the compost toilets were adequate but it was a pleasant stay. Tino and his family were very friendly and whilst some 'critters' were spotted, it was an experience to remember.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Trek Stop is located right next to the Western Highway which means easy access. We are NOT for the people looking for LUXURY. Our property is located in the "Jungle" as some would put it, which means there will be bugs, birds and other local animals on the premises. We have 10 basic cabins, 5 small cabins which have 2 single beds in the room, and its shared bath. We have 3 cabins which have a double bed and a bunk bed in the room, also shared bath. We do have 2 cabins which have a double bed, bunk and a private bath which has a shower and compost toilets. Our Shared Toilets are Compost Toilets. If you are looking for an adventure, this is the place for you, most of the people that stay here, are out on adventures and don't spend much time in their cabins. We have on the premises a restaurant, a Butterfly Farm & also a 9 Hole Disc Golf Course. ... more   less

“We stayed in the cabin with a private bathroom. It was nice because I don't like leaving my room to use the bathroom at night, but they're kind of yucky/buggy. It was in the back of the property which meant privacy and no street noise, but lots of nature noises (bugs, birds, and a rooster in the morning!)”
