The USP is that it is nearly in the middle of nowhere but sited by the entrance gate to the 60Km (1½ bumpy jungle drive) to the Calakmul archaeological site, a tedious enough journey without additional driving, given you’ll need all the time you have...More

This is the only real choice for an overnight stop before a visit to Calakmul. It's a quirky hotel but nicely done. The rooms are basic but comfortable, surrounded by forest and forest noises, quite different to most hotels. The hotel restaurant is the only...More

The hotel is at the entrance of the road to the Calakmul ruins. It is an eco friendly hotel with different cabins. The cabins have no windows just mosquito nets. We found it a bit scary at night, but you are directly in the nature....More

The houses are placed at greater or lesser distance to each other in a somewhat gloomy looking jungle. Of the construction, the houses are the best thing we have seen in Mexico. They are rustic, covered in traditional Mexican style with lots of wood and...More

I am very sorry you feel this way about your stay at this hotel. It is not a box hotel with windows, tv's and internet in every room. You come here to disconnect from all of that. The whole concept of the hotel is so...More

Special place imho, the bungalows are comfortable with 2 queensize beds and ceiling fan. Breakfast is great (try the chilaquiles with egg). Also there is a swimmingpool in the middel of the "jungle" wich makes it special.

My memory was the food was on the hi side but not bad food. The continental breakfast is not enough to keep you going all day in the park. Take water and food.
