Stayed here whilst attending a christening in June 2013. Enjoyed my time immensely and Mr. Egremont-Lee and his charming cottage, dating back to the 12th century, contributed to this in no small part. Rooms are ample and comfortable and Mr. E-L will do his utmost to ensure you are happy. Delicious breakfasts are home-cooked on an AGA range in front...

Trip to Trewern, Longtown My Sister in Law and I have recently returned from a stay at Trewern in Longtown with Mr Antony Egremont-Lee. This pretty Welsh Longhouse has as its backdrop the Black Mountains, with its varying moods of sunshine and shadow, and is an area of outstanding natural beauty. The house has a fascinating history and the garden...

We just came back from a lovely weekend with warm and friendly hosts Antony and Pina in their ancient long house. Great hospitality, great breakfast with fresh brewed coffee from Zimbabwe, fresh eggs from happy chickens that roam around outside, home grown tomatoes, fresh fruit salad, all on the big wooden table in the old kitchen. Fresh flowers in the...

Lovely old farm house with grand old rooms. Beautiful secluded location. The owner was friendly, accommodating and prepared a fine breakfast of fresh bantam eggs, local thick cut bacon and excellent sausage, along with toast and preserves. A word of warning though, the cockerel may crow quite early and the grandfather clock will chime on the hour, but don't let...

We stayed with Mr Egremont Lee and his (new) charming wife last weekend and had a really delightful time. The house sits on its own up a long drive in the middle of breathtakingly beautiful countryside and is full of oak panels, beams, stone floors...so much character and charm. Mr and Mrs Egrement Lee are laid back and convivial hosts...

We were a party of four, aiming to walk this section of the Offa's Dyke path, new to the area and new to Middle Trewerne. Well, we did walk, but we also played Anthony's piano, relished the eggs from his chickens, photographed the procession of cute animals and their babies wandering around the garden, talked up a storm with him...

This is the sort of place that you'd prefer to keep to yourself but that would be unfair to the charming Mr Egermont-Lee who welcomes you into his home. Be sure to ask to look at the folder he wrote about the history of the house which was extensively and sympathetically renovated. It oozes character and, although some might grumble...

It feels like you are visiting Mr Egremont-Lee at his home rather than staying in a b&b. With geese, chickens and guinea fowl following you around as you walk around the garden, we stayed in an africa-themed room with a window looking out on the shed where swallows flitted by as thick as flies. He booked us for dinner at...

Middle Trewern is an absolutely beautiful 16th century long house in the most amazing setting on the edge of the Black Mountains. It's a privilege to stay in such an historic building, and to wake up to the best views imaginable. Antony is a great host, and cooked us a lovely breakfast on his aga. This is a fantastic place...
