Lovely accommodation, clean, well equipped and thoughtfuly furnished. The main attraction for us was the farm, and the animals, especially the opportunity to feed them on a daily basis and collecting the eggs with the very friendly, knowledgeable and lovely farmer Lucy. She made it a joy to feed the animals each (weekday) morning. So many animals including sheep, chickens,...

This was the second year we visited Nettlecombe Farm for our daughters birthday treat. A weekend down on the farm is a great experience for the whole family. The facilities and accommodation are fantastic, we have stayed in two of the converted farm house apartments and both times loved it. With everything you need for self-catering, and a view that...

We arrived for a family weekend away, 6 adults, 4 children (ages 6 months to 5 years). We rented "Swallow" which accommodated 10+. The accommodation was brilliant, immaculately clean, beautiful white bed linen & towels, well up to hotel standard. There was every appliance you could require, washing machine, dishwasher, etc & all the cleaning requirements. This might seem a...

We absolutely loved staying at Nettlecombe Farm! I could rave about it all day but it really was such a magical holiday. Our party comprised 11 - 6 adults, four children and a baby - and we stayed in three cottages. The location was idyllic, the cottages were very comfortable and well equipped (we managed a full roast for the...

We only stayed for the Easter weekend but it was the perfect little get away with the 2 kids. The 3 year old loved feeding the animals and all the places we visited close-by. Forge cottage was small but perfectly formed with a safe enclosed garden for the little ones to play in and hunt for Easter eggs too!

My family & I have just experienced one of our best family holidays ever. We stayed in swallow with another family, it's a very well equipped, comfortable and clean. The best part is all the animals here - Reindeer, Alpaca, Donkeys, an Emu, Giant Bunnys and so much more - The feeding tours are just fabulous, highly recommend Nettlecombe Farm...

I honestly cannot say enough good things about this place, the only downside to our holiday was that we had to come home! 7 of us stayed in Swallow for 4 nights over the Easter holidays, the pictures online do not do this accommodation justice. Swallow was absolutely huge and so beautifully renovated, it was spotlessly clean and had every...

We stayed in Forge Cottage for 3 nights over a weekend. This farm was pet-friendly, quiet and perfectly managed. The cottage itself was fully equipped, with massive open kitchen, massive dining table, very cosy bedrooms and outdoor BBQ facilities. The underfloor heating was definitely a plus in such a cold weather. However, the cottage did not have wifi. We could...

Thank you so much for your review, we are delighted that you enjoyed your stay here at Nettlecombe Farm and found Forge Cottage to be just what you wanted. Booked the "Forge" as a last minute getaway 2 days before and was lucky to get the cottage at such late notice. Situated in the middle of the Isle of Wight to the south, perfect to explore the Island. Cottage itself was warm, comfortable, very clean and cosy. Loved the dining table built around the old forge inside. Everything you...
