Long weekend stay with a group of 10 friends. Hotel out from centre of Douglas but bus service (15 minutes) very good. Staff friendly and food excellent. Also within 5 minutes walking distance of a very good pub/restuarant -high quality at good price. Overall a good hotel to use as a base and car would be an advantage. Adjoining golf...

What a super Hotel. Set in many acres of countryside with golf course. Bedrooms well decorated and very comfortable. Dining area well set out for parties of over 38 and choice of food really great. We have never been offered fresh strawberries for breakfast daily - anywhere else on our travels! Hotel very clean and rooms in the annex opposite...

We had a long weekend at Mount Murray during possibly the wettest weekend of the year so far. Initial signs weren't great before arriving. When trying to book a few months before, I rang and was told there were no double rooms left, but could have a twin or pay for a more expensive room/suite. However the website would let...

Have recently returned from a weeks stay at the hotel. The hotel is in a pleasant setting , the plus factor came from it being staffed by polite, friendly ,efficient staff who make you feel very welcome and seem to take pride and joy in their work. The hotel is spacious and comfortable with plenty seating. The decor is a...

For a week's holiday we booked an upgraded room. What a terrible mistake. Although clean and with all facilities, there was no lift access to room which was very small, with bonnet-level view of car park, and low-level noise including rhythmic thumps from the squash court (we think!), crashes and bangs from the gym etc. On asking for a room...

We stayed in this hotel for a week in June with Crusader Holidays. This is a really nice hotel, approached down a leafy lane with lovely wild flowered hedge rows. The main public part of the hotel is really spacious and decorated/designed with style, giving a somewhat palacial feel. The grounds are generally well looked after with a very pleasing...

When visiting the Isle of Man TT races, this is more often than not, the hotel of choice. Close enough to Douglas (10 mins in a taxi) for restaurants and evening entertainment, but far enough away that its quiete at night. Nice big rooms, a little dated now and probably in need of a make over, but comfortable nonetheless. Same...

I only had a short stay, but I found my room large, comfortable with a new TV, tea/coffee facilities; maybe a little old fashioned throughout the hotel but fine. No air conditioning in the rooms, but I didn't need it. The bathroom was a good size and well-equipped. I only ate breakfast in the hotel, but the choice was good....

There must be some very grumpy people visiting this hotel, as I can't relate to the following reviews at all..... “Four Star-No way!” (14 April 2012), “Not a four star hotel” (22 May 2012) and “Disappointed” (30 May 2012). We were there from May 3 to 7, and were very satisfied with our stay. I guess any hotel has rooms...

This hotel does not live up to the grand location and price. It's very much a tired 3 star and typical of what you find throughout the Uk. It needs money spending on it. Rooms clean but old, a tiny 19" TV placed in a corner of the room high on the wall so you just could not watch it....
