We took advantage of their special midweek offer and had a lovely meal and overnight stay. This is the second time we have stayed over and again the room was lovely and welcoming. The food, as usual was delicious and I particularly liked the starter with goats cheese and beetroot and horseradish sorbet. Wine of course was excellent! This is...

I booked a night at Hotel Terravina with dinner for my other half's birthday. We stayed in Solera downstairs on the ground floor. The room was spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom had a walk in shower and a roll top bath and was very well appointed. Particularly good was having real milk in the mini bar...

Just returned from yet another perfect stay at TerraVina. This hotel simply cannot be faulted. Beautifully appointed rooms, friendly, polite and attentive staff, fantastic food and some amazing wines served and recommended by a wonderful sommelier. Just a perfect place to totally unwind and enjoy the New Forest.

Warm welcome; friendly staff; the table was situated in front of kitchen area - rather warm but once the 'lunch' cooking finished it was a much cooler. Food excellent, delicious, plentiful and very varied. I asked for an iced coffee as I do not like tea, which was delicious. There were several 'top ups' of the various teas served and...

This was a celebration of my birthday with a friend. Have eaten here several times before, and it never disappoints. My friend chose from the set menu and really enjoyed her food. I went for some extras - the beef tartare was wonderful, one of my favourite dishes. We looked enviously at the terrace, though it would have been far...

What a great hotel to celebrate a special occasion. Very individual rooms. Go for a meal and ask to view some of the rooms to make your choice. They have a range of fun wellies for all members of the family to barrow to go walking in this area of the New Forest.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hotel TerraVina is a multi-award winning, boutique Hotel and California style restaurant in the New Forest, near Southampton and is the vision of Gerard Basset OBE, co-founder of Hotel du Vin, and his wife Nina. With a relaxed, informal style, when first opened the hotel was voted "one of the best new places to stay in the world" by Condé Nast Traveller magazine and has been featured on TV and in the national press on many occasions. Under the watchful eye of Head Chef Gavin Barnes we serve a range of seasonal dishes, with local ingredients, with an excellent reputation for our vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options too. We are the perfect option for lunch, dinner or afternoon tea, and why not try our ever changing Taster Menu, or simply join us for a delicious breakfast. Wine is very much at the heart of Hotel TerraVina - Gerard is a Master of Wine, Master Sommelier with an MBA and is also the current World Champion Sommelier. Whether you're a wine lover, or you’re interested in learning more, we’re always delighted to share our knowledge and passion. For those who enjoy peaceful seclusion in a boutique, beautifully appointed bedroom with or without your own private terrace, an outdoor, heated swimming pool in spring and summer, great wines, wonderful, locally sourced food and warm and friendly service with a laid back feel - we look forward to welcoming you to Hotel TerraVina. ... more   less
