First, let me highlight the good points about this guest house. The breakfast is an excellent quality, the room is well furnished (although a little chintzy) and the beds are comfortable. So the basics are all in place, and done well for the price of £65. The biggest problem we had was the owners need their guests to vacate the...

Sorry to hear our guests did not enjoy their visit... no problems were mentioned at the time of their visit. We are not a hotel, we are a bed and breakfast. We do not have facilities for guests during the day and this is made clear on the paperwork. Guests who want to stay in their rooms all day need...

We stayed here twice in December whilst visiting our daughter at University. Being only 5 mins by car it is ideally located for visiting Canterbury town centre. The area is quiet so you can sleep and has a nice pub that serves good food within walking distance. Every visit has been really lovely and Mike and Joan are very welcoming...

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Woodlands. My husband and I were celebrating our birthdays and visiting Canterbury. It was end November so fairly cold weather but on arrival the house was lovelyand warm as was the welcome. Ample safe parking, beautiful scenic views from our gorgeous room which was beautifully decorated, very clean, the ensuite modern and luxurious and the...

Found this outstanding B&B gem located in an idyllic countryside setting and close by to the excellent Chapter Arms village pub which is great for dinner. Very comfortable room with double bed and modern en suite shower room with toilet - all very clean and everything worked well. Could not have been made more welcome by the lovely hostess who...

We stayed here on our last night of a six day tour of southern England before our cruise leaving from Dover the next day. The rooms were clean the beds comfortable and the bathroom modern. This is well worth the price. Breakfast was superb. The only drawback was that we had to share a bathroom with the other couple that...

We stayed at Woodlands for two nights while visiting the Dover area. Our room was very clean and comfortable and breakfast was excellent. Overall a great value for a night's stay if you are visiting Canterbury or Dover. The Chapter Arms, just a short walk from Woodlands, is an excellent place for dinner.

A comfortable bed, a good breakfast and lots more besides – bathrobes, little bottles of water, and a well stocked tea and coffee tray. Impeccably clean and tasteful decor – especially if you like frogs! Hooks where you need them, plenty of storage space, and a hot towel rail. Mirrors in the right place and accessible plug sockets – so...

We chose the Woodlands on spec when all the others in Canterbury were full or overpriced. Economically priced and well situated as a stop over before catching the ferry to Dover next morning, or a visit to Canterbury but away from the hustle and bustle. Double room was cleaner and more comfortable than many of the hotels i have stayed...

This B&B is ideally situated if you want to visit Canterbury. You need a car but the Park and Ride is very accessable. Parking in Canterbury is very expensive and I would advice using the Park and Ride. The B& B was friendly, well appointed and had great views. View was a little limited when we were there due to...
