We had a lovely stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was worn but spotlessly clean. The wifi is free for 1/2 then you have to pay but we didn't need to use it for more than 1/2 hr. Can't complain everything we expected from a travelodge and more, thank you!
on first impression, from the carpark entrance you would worry about your choice , but once you enter the lobby you are greeted by very friendly and helpful staff, who make you feel at home ,the rooms are clean and spacious a double bed and two singles a lovely hot shower and full bath ,tv /tea making facilities/ power points "but none by the beds " Dunkirk at first does not look much from the outside ,but is a really great choice for parking and a convenient 24 hour service station shop , really quiet and a restful night can be had ,and a very short drive into Canterbury itself . overall its a really good choice for those wanting not to be in the centre of town with no parking , Dunkirk has plenty of spaces and disabled spots also ,and a dog walking area. i will certainly use again ,in the future if i only had one criticism it would be nice to have a power point near the beds but that's a minor point…
Located a short drive from both Canterbury centre and the University close to a major road, this Travelodge was surprisingly quiet; in fact almost silent. My room overlooked a wood and the whole setting was tranquil..
This was such a pleasant surprise, a quiet and peaceful hotel set in woodland, so very little noise, and actually there was a feeling of serenity about it. The standard of cleanliness was excellent. It has no bar or restaurant, which wasn't an issue for us as we went out. Apparently some other guests had expressed concern about parking as the car park isn't visible from the hotel, but the car park is right next to a 24 hour garage, so we felt confident leaving the car.
If there is a more tranquil and restful setting for a short break away from it all I have yet to find it. The Woodside location is a delight as are the staff who are attentive Pro active..intuitive and charming with impeccable manners. I would gladly stay here everyday of the week and twice on Sunday. I love it. Thanks to all for making my stay memorable..adorable and admirable. A very very happy client xxxx
Great visit to Canterbury to celebrate a great occasion. Gigantically Beautiful Cathedral. Marvelous, Priest and awesome welcome receptionists. Now to be yearly pilgrimage! Nice people. Nice hotel. Good transport. Good food. greatr shopping experience.
Nice location with free parking - entrance nicely set back in the woods. Very quiet despite proximity to services (24 hours / 7 days - so quite handy). Staff always helpful and friendly. Jimmy the cat an added bonus.
I would recommend this hotel for anyone with a dog. Staff were welcoming and helpful, both to we humans and canines. Well away from traffic noises as it is partly in a wooded area. Very convenient for working around Kent.
Car park not at door so seems a little quieter, staff were friendly and the rooms were fine, good size, warm and with a clean bathroom. Gregs in the carpark means its perfect for a quick stop on the way to or from the port
Friendly staff and clean hotel. Nothing around there within walking distance. Overall the stay was nice. Was a stain on the sheet but apart from that the room was clean. Although you don't get many towels
