We stayed here nearly six months ago, and couldn't find a bad word to say about it. My only hesitation in recommending it here is that it might make it more difficult to book a room there in future...!

Visited with 5 friends for dinner mid week. Cosy pub atmosphere and nicely decorated dining room. Staff were friendly and efficient. The speciality here is pies and I'll be surprised if anybody finds a pub in Kent that sells better pies than these. A choice of about 12 shortcrust pies and 6 suet puddings. Served with choice of potatoes and...

Had a delicious three course lunch with five friends. All courses were very tasty and service was good. We had the senior person offer which was excellent value for money. Choice of all three courses was varied and would sort most people.

The food in this pub cannot be faulted - traditional and very tasty. Often when I meet friends from work, we come to this pub for lunch because the food is great and the service is prompt. It was because of this, I decided to book for an evening meal to celebrate my wedding anniversary with my husband and my...

Good morning I am truly sorry to hear that you have been made to feel uncomfortable whilst in our pub. Would you be so kind as to let me know when you were in and where you sat as I have spoken to everyone here and nobody remembers this incident. Unusually, I do not recall anything either so please contact...

Stayed here for 1 night in August. The staff were very friendly on arrival and showed me to my room. The room was clean and tidy and has been recently refurbished. We decided to eat in the restaurant, it was nice and busy and had a great atmosphere. The food really was great, and the staff were very helpful and...

We stayed here as a family of 5 last night after getting off the late ferry from Dunkirk to Dover. It is tucked away so you will most probably need a Sat Nav to find it. The rooms were well appointed and comfortable and the breakfast was excellent.

Have just arrived home from having a family meal, to celebrate a birthday at The Black Pig (how apt the name is). To begin, there were no high chairs left, even though one was asked for when meal was booked, therfore my grandson struggled to sit at the table and eat. Secondly, when four pie meals arrived one of them...

Good morning. Apologies that you felt you had a bad experience recently at the Black Pig but I will respond to if you do not mind to your points individually. At no point was a high chair attached to your reservation as it was not requested. All roasts are served with Yorkshire puddings and most definitely all turkey roasts had...

Staff and locals very friendly. Roast dinner was lovely but undercooked vegetables .The roast potatoes would have been spot on if they were cooked 10 minutes more, same with the new. I think they are checking the smallest and the biggest aren't cooked ! Saying that the meat was perfect with a great gravy and extra served in a gravy boat...

I hadn't visited this pub for decades but had it recommended to me by a friend. Warm and friendly welcome to a clean and tidy country pub. The menu was better than usual pub grub and I wasn't disappointed. I'm a really fussy bugger and not easily pleased but the food was very nice and presented very well.the service was...

Visited the Black Pig with three others for weekday lunch. Great pub grub, great prices, good red wine for a country pub, and helpful and pleasant staff. If you're planning a trip out there though, even if you live in east Kent stick the post code in the sat nav. There are country lanes to be negotiated and it would...
