We visited this pub with a couple of friends for a couple of nights and found a charming old world listed building rated 4star, all the rooms advertised were individual and quirky and our rooms were fitting for the age of the building, what they failed to advertise was the fact that you needed to super fit to manage your...

I had a brilliant stay. The Staff went above and beyond to make my experience relaxed and enjoyable. The room was clean and beautiful, the bed very comfortable. Food was lovely, and the service always friendly and helpful, I would highly recommend!!

The whole feeling of the hotel was a historical building that had been carefully decorated to demonstrate its past but at the same time offering modern services. Clearly a well trained staff who demonstrated a genuine care for its guests. We will be returning later in the spring.

Bed was comfy and the room was decorated well. The window and blind were broken so had to wedge them open. The room was very hot being on the top floor, air con would be needed if staying in the summer.

I'm a little biased in favor of the HH because it was my home-away-from-home for a few years while working on a project in the UK. I love the place. Although the management has changed, the building has been nicely renovated while maintaining the original character. The updating has not taken away from the charm.
