This hotel has had a modern refurbishment. Rooms very smart but not that practical. We had a 2 double bed room which was great apart from the fact that it also had 3 large armchairs and 2 settees. This gave us very little space to move around in. The settees were not long enough to lie down on and had...

Went to the Derwent Manor for Sunday lunch today for the first time - very impressed with the newly refurbished restaurant, standard of the carvery and the very friendly staff. Good selection of roasts, we had lamb and beef, both cooked to perfection. Will definitely go again and try out the new midweek menu. Highly recommended.

This was our third visit to the hotel as the past experiences were excellent . Check in was great but the receptionist forgot to book our table for dinner. The room was nice albeit a little cold and the shower was pathetic. No pressure at all. Our biggest complaint was the shocking service in the restaurant. We waited 45 mins...

All of our party thoroughly enjoyed our stay. In terms of how the hotel could improve I would suggest that some of the bar staff could...

I really liked the Derwent Manor. It is a bit "special" but that is not a bad thing :-) Smiling and helpful staff, ands good food in the bar. (the restaurant was closed when I was there) The room had a nice tv and was clean and varm. I really enjoyed my two nights stay at this hotel.

We stayed on a bed and breakfast tariff as a surprise birthday treat. The hotel is welcoming ,all staff very friendly and helpful. Our room was on the second floor and had not been reburished but still clean ,warm and all mod cons with a great view. The shower however was not very powerful or hot. We ate our evening meal...
